I suck.
Okay, mixing up dub and original canon in Digimon is a major pet peeve of mine. I know I can't do anything about it and I won't call anyone else out on it if their writing is otherwise good, but it still bugs me far more than it should. Not just the obvious, well-known stuff like Matt = Yamato and Bio-Emerge = Realise - even little things like Ken talking to "Koushirou-san" instead of "Izumi-san" rub me the wrong way, and don't get me started on insisting there's a card called Crystal Fire in the Hyper Colosseum card game when you're really referring to Attack/Kougeki Plugin W. Haven't seen that for real yet, but you never know with fandom...
So what did I just go and do? Make Japanese Takuya go and ramble about Primary Village. Never mind that the Ikuto in the thread was talking about Gatomon in a different thread, it's my mistake which is annoying me now.
Bleargh, I don't know. I'll have to go and do something like transcribe scripts for all of the movies without checking my subbed versions before I'm allowed my elitist license back*. :(
