(no subject)
1. beejay is happier with me today. was nickering & very interested in me from the start & even when i went just a few metres away, so that's good. phil did his hooves & kept them quite short in the toe, so hopefully that was a minor issue.
he's coming to do taz's feet on the 28th December, 10am.
2. bought ingredients for rocky road
- white & milk chocolate
- glace cherries
- coconut
- macadamia nuts
- peanuts
- marshmallows.
apparently i should also blend in cream. see, i have no idea about this stuff!>>>?? apparently half as much cream as chocolate. WTF.
3. first thing at t-ball today, a little (girl? boy? unidentifiable until i saw her whole name written out) child comes up to rhiannon (her coach) and says, "Rhiannon, There are children over there trying to KILL A TREE and i told them they shouldn't KILL TREES because trees give us oxygen and are very important." then she started to cry.
i literally had to TURN AROUND because i was laughing so hard.
rhiannon's response? "well honey, you know how last week we talked about how sometimes people don't like it when you tell them what to do? i think this may be one of those situations."
small child- "BUT THEY WERE KILLING THE TREE AND WE NEED TREES BECAUSE I HEARD THEY GIVE US OXYGEN, IS THIS TRUE? I HEARD THAT."
Rhiannon - "yes it is true. You are a real little environmentalist. do you know what that is?"
Small child - "no?"
Rhiannon - "well..."
as she explains we walk towards the diamond where rhi's team is playing. we pass a couple of older (like 8 yo perhaps?) kids who were playing near a FULLY GROWN TREE) and the small child is like, "OMFG THOSE ARE THE BOYS! THAT'S THE TREE THEY ARE KILLING!"
and rhiannon says, "well i think that tree is big enough to take care of itself" or something like that. it was HILARIOUS. omg. kind of makes me want to teach small children but at the same time, i don't think i could handle it at all.
4. after all that i have retreated into the house. haven't gone to see tazzie because i was dying of tiredness, plus there was a FIRE on the corner of beejay's road so i had to do this massive fucking detour which took me well and truly out of the way, so i just went home instead.
oh and because of aforementioned fire, i called 000 to report it. had to pull my car over - when i saw the fire it had obviously just started but with the wind and everything the flames were gusting to about 1m high. i made it to beejay's fine. worried a bit about phil getting through, but he was fine too.
but all roads were closed by the time we left. fuck man. summer is here.
