Herd, The - The King Is Dead (i love this song in so many ways. it's awesome.)
Howling Bells - Into The Chaos (this feels wistful and BIG. like something amazing is happening inside the sound. idk how to describe it.)
Birds Of Tokyo - Wild Eyed Boy (jesus, the lead singer's voice is... INCREDIBLE)
Bon Iver - Skinny Love (this song is fucking amazing. absolutely.)
Cold War Kids - Mexican Dogs/something is not right with me (hrm, hard to choose).
Children Collide - Skeleton Dance
Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Possess Your Heart (i LOVE these guys... they've been around for a while and i never really tuned in. this song totally jumped up and grabbed me. i reckon they sound quite a lot like suede too)
Shortwave Set - No Social (this song is awesome! very catchy!)
Ladyhawke - My Delirium (ladyhawke rocks. hard to choose which song i like the best)
Lily Allen - The Fear (this song is great - one of few lily allen songs i really dig)
Lyrics Born - I Like It, I Love It (can jump all over the house to this)
Eagles Of Death Metal - Wannabe In L.A. (the beginning of this song is fantastic!)
Flight Of The Conchords - Business Time (yeah, go boys! but i'll prob scrap this song from my list...)
Futureheads - The Beginning Of The Twist (i like what the 'twist' represents. good song)
John Steel Singers - Rainbow Kraut (TROMBONE!)
Kate Nash - Pumpkin Soup (so cute and adorable... but will prob also be scrapped)
Kings Of Leon - Closer (fuck these guys are awesome!)
Panda Band, The - Where The River Rises (LOVE the intro to this song and the chorus)
Santogold - Lights Out (so funky!)
Ting Tings - We Walk (best piano intro ever... plus so boppy and alive)
Ween - Your Party (is this song just about a good party... or swinging? idk, and that's why i love it)
i THINK... might go thru the list again tomorrow & have another thing. when i narrow it down to my top 10, i'll put up some youtube vids.
have a feeling that Metallica, The Presets & Kings of Leon will DEFINITELY make top 10. dunno about others. maybe Lily Allen because everything she sings is gold (tho the only song i've really liked of hers is The Fear).
my FAVOURITE song of late is "Jam Hot" by Koolism. it'll prob be on next years Hottest 100.
