ugh, money woes.

i know there are lots of you on my flist who are seriously fucking GOOD with money - good at saving, good at spending (well, i'm GREAT at that), good at finding deals. i am not one of those people.

i know gemmabowles was having a gripe a while back about ppl who live paycheck to paycheck. unfortunately, i'm pretty much one of THOSE people. as my friend Rhiannon says, "it's about the lifestyle".... but apart from teh ponies, there IS no lifestyle, lol!

i got paid YESTERDAY and now i have like $100 to my name. less even. i haven't even BOUGHT anything major - just paid bills & went grocery shopping today. goddamn it. i seem to do A LOT better at the money thing when i'm at work tho, thank god. maybe it's because i'm home and finding things to spend money on (lunches out, quick dinners etc). who knows.... but i haven't even had a CHANCE to do that with this pay. goddamn it.

so i get paid fortnightly. one fortnight i pay rent ($700). next fortnight i pay bills & make any significant purchases i want/need (ie clothes, shoes, pony treats etc).... in THEORY that works. these holidays, it has NOT worked. goddamn it. i was meant to fricking SAVE money this pay so i could get my car serviced before the end of the holidays. it's already 7000km overdue. i KNOW, i am BAD.

how do you ORGANISE yourselves? i just can't. i can't save fuck all. at the end of january, i get a significant pay rise (apparently) but really, i shouldn't be hanging out for a pay rise so i can get myself organised with money, should i? ugh.

and because i'm a geek, this is my shopping. do any of these prices compare to you guys???? that will make me feel significantly better for spending $76 on BASIC NECESSITIES (omg i forgot sanitary protection.... lol! the rag it is... i know, TMI!) if some of you spend the equivalent. plus, you can see what i buy.

washing up sponge thing $3.19
