it is better to know than to be left wondering...
another great interview resulting in another job that i... didn't... get. sigh. this place said the same thing that the first place said - that i wasn't the right fit for the position and they hired someone who more exactly matched what they were looking for, but that they really liked me and could they keep my resume on hand for future openings. sure. doesn't look like i'm going anywhere, heh... ah well. i feel a lot better no longer having to wonder about it. though i would have appreciated it if they'd called to let me know - i ended up having to call them. :/
so we are going camping this weekend. i have never been camping in my life. i'm not the outdoorsy type. in fact, i hate nature. heh. but i AM looking forward to the trip and will do my best not to get eaten by a bear, bitten by too many bugs, or hacked into pieces by a serial-killer-passerby. ok, i'm a paranoid freak. can't help it, this is me.
a friend really helped me out this week, and i am so grateful for that. friend, you know who you are and you RULE! thanks again! ;)
can't wait for The O.C. to start... gah, over a month away. laaaame. but it will be *so good* when it comes time.
mike's been in bed for a while now. i was applying for some jobs and reading websites and wasting time. i guess i'll head there now, myself.
oh- called my grandma to wish her a happy birthday! yay! it was nice. :)
oh also- stephanie made a cake for mike's birthday yesterday, and we brought it home tonight. she makes the best cakes. mmm, cake. ode to cake: you are so good, yet i wish for you to disappear so that i may diet. hehe.
