Ryuk is quiet, he doesn't chew or destroy anything in the house, he doesn't pee on anything, he's 100% crate trained, he doesn't bite, he doesn't jump (without command), he doesn't do 99.9% of the behaviors that people "overlook" but still hate in a dog.
Why is it then that he's still not perfect?
Ryuk picks up bowls. Once out of every 10 times he picks up a bowl it has water in it. This is why his main bowl is IN MY ROOM. However my dog is not always in my room, he sleeps out on the couch because my housemates insist on keeping the heat on 80 and my room is way to warm for him during waking hours. They like him in the living room, or so they say.... I make sure that when I offer water to him that he drinks most of it, leaving only about a cm TOPS in the bottom of a small bowl.
I've met one of my housemate's dogs....he wasn't the best behaved thing in the world, growled at strangers, known to bite....from what I hear of the other one's he's wild....borderline dangerous and VERY destructive WHY THEN IS RYUK SO HORRIBLE? HE PICKS UP A BOWL AND THE LITTLE BIT OF WATER DRIBBLES OUT OF IT. "sometimes he destroys things or gets water on things we don't want him to" WHEN? HE IS ONLY OUT WHEN I'M HOME. THE ONLY THING HE EVER GETS WATER ON IS THE FLOOR AND IT"S SO LITTLE THAT WITHOUT WIPING IT IT DRIES IN UNDER 2 MINUTES. YES I'M TRYING TO BREAK HIM OF THE HABIT BUT SERIOUSLY. YOU GUYS STILL ENCOURAGE IT THEN WHINE WHEN HE PICKS UP HIS BOWL AND THERE IS THAT FEW DROPS OF WATER IN IT.
I think I'm just going to ban contact with my dog....I mean that will solve the problem right? He's ONLY in my room, not allowed in the living room, not allowed near my housemates....I'm sick of this....
