A light sheen of sweat covered them both.
Their breathing was labored.
Ryuunosuke's heart was probably racing; Takeru knew his own was.
Being so evenly matched meant that, more often than not, their training sessions ended up being long and exhaustive. But Takeru didn't mind, it was a good workout.
While it was true that Ryuunosuke's fighting style had improved, he still fought by the book, and Takeru easily found an opening.
Quickly, the young lord made his move, knocking the vassal's sword aside with a single hit and stepping closer, dropping his sword arm to his side. Ryuunosuke didn't back off at Takeru's advance, he never did during their private training sessions, and remained standing where he was, eyes occasionally glancing over to where his sword lay on the ground, as if contemplating making a move to grab it.
Takeru never gave him the chance. He reached out with his free hand, wrapping his arm around Ryuunosuke and pulling him as close as possible. With their bodies pressed together, Takeru felt the small hitch in his vassal's breath; their heartbeats falling just a bit more out-of-sync.
The young lord leaned in, gently pressing his lips to Ryuunosuke's, dropping his sword in favor of lightly resting his hand on the side of his lover's face. The kiss continued for a short while, with one of them occasionally initiating a little tongue action; both too short of breath for anything more.
Takeru pulled back, cutting off the kiss. He tilted his head forward just enough to lightly rest his own forehead against Ryuunosuke's as they attempted to catch their breath.
Once his own heartbeat slowed down and he could breathe relatively normally again, Takeru kissed Ryuunosuke again before shifting a little and murmuring 'My room, now' into the other's ear. He then pulled away completely, pausing long enough to grab his training sword, and made his way inside.
