Oh, the weather outside was frightful...
...but today's sun was so delightful!
Most of you are local and know it rained cats and dogs for nearly a week here, beginning last Friday and ending Wednesday night. After all the howling and the pounding, last night was almost eerie in its relative silence, though the respite was welcome even so. I love the rain, adore it in fact. But in such profuse quantities even I need a break.
Do you want to see something outrageous? This is the corner of hillside next to my across the street neighbor's driveway. Everything this side of the fence was bare and muddy before the rain started, I kid you not:
I guess the ground was thirsty...or this is a rare species of land kelp!
