I am so not 21 anymore...or 26 for that matter. I can still stay up reading until 2 in the morning but oh how it hurts the next day. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was completely worth it though.
This is an excellent book, a mystery that actually kept me guessing in a few places. And without bragging, this is no mean feat. I read so much that I grok book logic and can usually see though most of the twists in a mystery as they present themselves. A mystery that is able to surprise or at least keep me guessing for a little while is truly a joy.
More than the mystery though, it’s the characters that grabbed me. I will be pondering the character of Lisbeth Salander for some time...fortunately the next book, The Girl Who Played with Fire, is upstairs on our book shelves waiting for me. The author has the gift of fascinating you with a character, making you really care about them, while only doling out real information about them in tantalizing, miserly pieces strewn throughout the story.
