Yes, this is semi cross posted from FaceBook, but I have different friends in both places and thought it was funny enough to try and share with everyone :)
At the Freeway Series game yesterday, the Dodgers were having a cross promotional event with the Alvin & the Chipmunks sequel. They had “Alvin and the Chipmunks” there to “help” sing the National Anthem and God Bless America. Simon had Manny dreads on and the Chipmunks were decked out in Dodger caps which didn’t make up for the rest of the marketing campaign.
For the occasion, the movie company had booths all over the Stadium giving out free Alvin-style ball caps. Cute idea for the kids, right? On any other day, perhaps. But on Saturday, this meant that the movie company was handing out big red baseball caps with an A on the front...on a day the Dodgers were playing the Angels. And hilarity ensued.
Think before you market people! Though the end result was highly entertaining and, hey, as an Angels fan I was pleased to see all the extra red ball caps ;)
