Leaving work this evening at 7:30 p.m., I set my bag down next to my car and for a split second found myself actually attempting to use my ID Badge to unlock my car.

Yes. You read that correctly. I'm sorry to say that I actually had my badge in my hand and waived it in front of the lock on my car door twice - as I do with the elevator and all of the doors in my building dozens and dozens of times every day - and I was even slightly perplexed when I did not hear that tell tale beep and clicking sound that are hallmarks of a successful badge swipe. Perplexed until I remembered that, yes, in the real world outside of the building I spend most of my waking hours we use keys, not badges to open doors...

...So, do you think that maybe, just maybe, I've been working a few too many hours lately?

(And yes, Midnightgambler, I know you really want to "ding" me for that subject line ;)  )
