Motivation/Demotivation it's all in how you read the poster...
The biggest of big bosses sent out a state of the company address today and included a comment at the end about how proud and hopeful he is to work with us because everyone who is here today was offered the same severance package - a pretty generous one too - and elected to stay.
He talked about how good that made him feel about how much faith we have in the company and in our continued ability to weather the current market storm...
...and damned if it didn't make my own chest swell a little with pride to read that. I felt touched and pleased that he had thought to make that comment to us in the course of the state of the company even though I know that good business sense dictated he make just such a statement. And yet, it was...motivating...
Apparently I have a very easy job. The kind robots will be doing soon. *sigh*
