So I'm reccing (I feel strange using that word as a verb) for Community over at
crack-van this month.
Here's the tag. I'm going to try to include a variety of ships and ensemble-based fic throughout the month, so hopefully there'll be a little somethin' somethin' for everyone.
I'm also in the midst of beta-reading an awesome Community Big Bang fic (it makes me so happy!), writing a ladies-of-the-study-group-centric AU of the zombie episode for
Zombie Fest 2012, and I'm on the edge of my seat wondering if the block of three episodes for the Community finale is good or bad news, renewal-wise.
Seriously, y'all, in case it isn't obvious, I love that show.
Let's see. Here's a quick summary of other things that I am watching:
- 30 Rock. I AM DEFINITELY SHIPPING LIZ/CRISS NOW. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
- Mad Men. The boyfriend and I are Netflixing this. We're still in season one, and the sexism makes me want to kick things in a sort of blind rage. (It also makes it hard to watch more than an episode or two at a time.) I work in a male-dominated profession (thankfully encountering little outright sexism, although the tech industry still sadly has its fair share of it), and I never realized I was quite so sensitive to this kind of thing until Mad Men saw fit to beat me about the face with it.
- Once Upon a Time. One of my sisters recommended it. It's enjoyable, but it hasn't drawn me in. I'm a little over halfway through the aired episodes right now, but unless it improves I'm thinking I'll probably drop it at the end of season 1.
- Parks and Rec. Continues to be the adorable show of my heart.
- Futurama. The boyfriend and I are catching up on the last season, which started out uneven but is definitely improving. Are Fry and Leela supposed to be dating in the latest season? I'm a bit confused by the status of their relationship now.
And, in the queue: Bored to Death season 3, New Girl, Grimm, Downton Abbey season 2, Cheers season 2, Chuck season 5 (!), Slings & Arrows, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
