I walked into the grocery store the other day and was offered a job. The person in the office (who does all the accounting-type work) is retiring in 2 years and they need someone to fill her spot so they thought of me.
I was initially thinking "no" but the more I thought about it the more I decided I could actually make it work and I started to get excited about it.
I start April 2nd. I'll be working 4-8 hours a day, 2-3 days a week, starting at $7/hr. Hours and pay will gradually increase as I learn and want to take on more. I can pretty much set my own hours and work when I want, and around the kids.
I guess now I have to start working on the babysitting part and introduce Ima to a bottle, or maybe a sippy cup. I'm not looking forward to pumping, but it'll be a lot better having to pump for a 10-month old than a 2-month old (when I went back to school after Lana) because it's not so NEEDED. I'll be working on figuring out if there are other foods that she'll eat, also, for backup.
It's weird, because I was just thinking that maybe I WOULDN'T get a summer job because I'm up to making a few hundred a month on the internet when this came along. I didn't want to take it at first, but I really just can't pass it up. It'll look good on a job application if I ever want to put my accounting degree to work somewhere else, too.
