HEY! Don't drink and drive.
I want everyone I know to make me a promise. I want you to promise me that you will never drink and drive. I want you to promise me that you will be a true friend and never let your friends drink and drive. Just post a comment saying that you will never do it, and I want you to be proud that you made this promise.
Just imagine everyone you love: your family, friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, lovers, pets, coworkers, etc. And then imagine you or your friend making an irresponsible decision and that these people could be dead. Imagine hitting someone or some people while driving drunk. Even if you didn't know this person...did this person deserve to die this way? What about all those people who love that person like you love your close ones, what happens to them? Would you be able to live with yourself if you knew that you had taken away the life or lives or some people just because you didn't want to fork over some money for a cab, or call a friend to pick you up? I know sometimes it's easier to make the irresponsible decision, but please, in this situation, take the higher road.
I know a lot of you don't know me personally, but this promise is for YOU. So please, promise me that you will never drink and drive. Promise me that you will not let your friends drink and drive.
I know I can speak for myself and many others: If you promise this, it will be one of the most amazing, responsible, compassionate things you have ever done. PLEASE.
