Anna had troops on the ground. It was aftermath from the destruction of her eggs. Governments across the world had agreed that the Vs needed more protection. Anna hadn't really made it an option either after her little temper tantrum.
The Column had gotten word of some weapons being moved from the ship to one of the soldier locations. It was another one of those move quick, don't blink or you'll miss it operations.
Joshua nor Juliet had been filled in on this mission. It wasn't imperative nor were they required. So it was just circumstance that they happened to be driving down the road when a V shuttle exploded overhead and debris knocked into several cars barely missing their own vehicle.
