Let's review the last week and a half.
Last Thursday, I went to Joel's art exhibition.
Julie and I were planning on going, but then she ended up not being able to go because of class.
Instead, I was able to get Catlin to go with me.
I enjoyed the show.
His work is really nice especially his paintings and a print.
Friday, for the better part of the morning, I did nothing.
I put in a few more job applications in a last desperation for getting a retail job to no avail.
Friday evening, I carried my birth certificate to Rosie's to see if my vest and apron had come in.
Ira told me to come back on Monday morning to take care of all of that.
Saturday evening, I called my grandmother that lives in Gurley/Huntsville.
She talked me into coming out to visit her, and she offerred to pay my gas.
I finally accepted her offer and went out for a visit.
It took me a little over an hour to get out there.
It's a little closer to visit with her than it is to go home.
She lives out in between two huge mountains, so there was no entertainment from the television except for two fuzzy stations, and if you want to use your cell phone, forget it.
We chit-chatted for a while, and I helped her hook up a new DVD player.
I also helped her adjust her antenna to get her stations to come in a little clearer.
She prepared some dinner...I didn't even ask.
But it was a nice gesture.
We had lasagna....the last time I had lasagna at her house, she forgot to put the meat in it, and she got on to me for going in the bedroom with someone.
She put the meat in this time.
I spent the night there since it was already late.
The next morning, she decided not to go to church...
She says she didn't feel good, but I think it was because I didn't want to go.
Still, you shouldn't do something because someone else is doing it, so I don't feel bad.
I returned to Florence sometime Sunday afternoon, and picked up a friend.
I wound up spending the night in Rivers Hall.
Monday, I didn't quite make it to Rosie's.
I'd been having pains from a kidney stone over the weekend, so I called an explained that my bladder hurt and that I'd make it on Tuesday.
I put in a few more applications online on Monday, too.
Tuesday morning, I went to Rosie's first thing.
I gave my birth certificate to Thomas, and he told me that they had my vest and bowtie, but not my apron.
They're having to get one from Huntsville, so he said it may be a few days.
I asked if it'd be Monday before I worked.
He told me it's probably be, so I decided I'd come home until then.
Also...last week, I talked to Tara about coming back to Domino's until January when I start school.
Miranda and her were considering having me as a manager, but Steven didn't agree.
Tara said she'd talk to Steven about me just driving for a month and a half and she'd call me back.
She also said she'd call me back on Sunday or Monday.
She didn't call back until yesterday. That aggravated me a little.
That was when I decided to just go with Rosie's...
But I'm thinking about seeing if I can work this weekend.
If they're going to be busy, then I'll do it.
I've heared Papa John's is reopening though, so I'm kind of glad I have my job at Rosie's.
Tuesday, I came home.
I went by my mom's house, and she was sick with a cold.
I chatted with her for a bit, but I left to go to Rainbow City.
I spent the night with Katie and Daniel on Tuesday night.
I've gotten into a pattern of staying there when I'm down now.
Wednesday, I picked up Katie's little sister, Kristen from work in Oneonta, and carried her back to Katie and Trevor's house.
When Trevor got in from work, he took a shower and played the X-Box for a while.
Then, he realized he need to get his check. Something about Wal-Mart wasn't going to cash them today.
I offered to carry them since it'd be better for the baby to ride in my car, and I was sure that Trevor didn't want to drive back to Annistion.
Katie said she'd give me gas money, but you can never take her word.
We shopped in Oxford and Annistion, too while we were down there.
Trevor purchased Guitar Hero II while we were there, too.
I enjoyed a Green Tea Frapp. from Starbucks.
We went back to RC around 4 or 5 so Trevor could get some game time in before work.
When he left for work, Katie Kristen, Daniel and I went to ALDI and Old Navy, then we came back home to make burgers....they were some damn good burgers, too.
I fell asleep not long after that though because I hadn't slept the night before.
Thanksgiving Day-
Katie woke us all up around nine to get ready to head to our grandmother's house.
When we all arrived...most of the family was there.
Connie and Trent (another cousin) had spent the night with their baby, Joshua.
Connie asked me if I was the one that had the same name as the baby, then she asked me to hold him.
Everyone got all excited and started saying, "Aww....there's the Joshes."
I'm thinking...yeah, how sweet...there's like 34985723 Joshes...ya know?
But it's still cool though.
His first name is Joshua and his middle name is Trinity (after Trent which is actually short for his full name, Trinity).
Speaking of middle names....I've been wanting to visit my Uncle Giles (Atlanta) and my Uncle David (Florence).
After dinner, Trevor, Kristen, Connie, Bobby, and I played Monopoly.
It's been forever since I've played...I've forgotten how entertaining it is.
Later in the evening, Jake and I departed for Gurley to visit our other grandmother, our sperm donor and his mistress.
It was nice visiting with my grandmother again.
We didn't really say much to Jeff and "T8TER"
We returned back to the Blount around 9 P.M. and decided to stay at my house.
Friday morning, I was planning to go shopping with my grandmother and her sister, but I was really tired, so I opted to sleep in.
I didn't get out of bed until around 1 P.M.
I had no intention of sleeping that long...
But it was nice.
When I crawled out of bed I decided I'd head to the Big O to pick up my check from Domino's.
When I arrived, Steven and Josh D. were, so I just walked in, waved to them, grabbed my check, and left.
I went straight to the bank to cash it.
When I was leaving the bank, I called Tara to see if I could work for the weekend.
She told me that'd be fine.
She was going to let dayshift go early that night, and they'd need my help tomorrow for the Iron Bowl.
I was actually thankful to get to work.
I can use the extra cash.
When I got off the phone with her, I still had about an hour and a half to kill, so I called Katie to see if I could pick up a pair of my pants I'd left there.
So then, I ventured out to Rainbow City again.
I decided to take I-59 again, but I took the Steele exit this time.
That way was a little shorter, but it took a few more minutes.
When I got there, I settled end and ended up not going to work until a little after five.
No one really cared though....there were more than enough drivers.
I only took about seven deliveries, but I enjoyed the social time.
I was really glad to see Joyce and Christy.
The paycheck I get will be worth it, too.
I still profitted about 15 bucks for the night in tips, so no complaining.
Tara let me go home around 10:30.
I called Russell on my way home to catch up on things.
I miss him dearly.
I know he stays busy, so it gets hard for us to stay in touch sometimes.
I guess that's same for a lot of people though.
We're planning on me going to Nashville Saturday night after work.
It'll be really late, but I'm wanting to go.
Even if all I get to do is chill out.
I'll probably leave from there and head back to Florence.
It's 2 1/2 hours to Murfreesboro, TN from here, and it's about 2 hours from there to Florence, AL.
If I came back here and then went to Florence that'd be about 4 1/2 hours of driving, and a lot of gas.
So, now I'm excited.
I need to get some sleep though, I work again today around four.
I've rambled enough, too, this may not even be coherent...but whatever.
Night, night.
