Title: Can't Rain All The Time

Warnings: Wincest (some underage - Sam is 14), graphic sexual content,
language, violence, torture, plus a little hurt!Sam and a lot of
hurt!Dean. The usual. ;)
Word count: 41,123
Setting: Season 3, after Sin City
Summary: The clock is ticking on Dean's deal, and as if things weren't
tense enough between the Winchester boys, he doesn't react well when Sam
wants to revisit their secret teenage romance. So, true to form, they
push on with their latest hunt while the elephant in the corner of the
room turns into more of a woolly mammoth.
Following the trail of a missing witch and her elusive patron
demon gets them stranded together in an abandoned house in the Maryland
wilderness, where they've got no choice but to sort out their drama -
except that house isn't so abandoned, and that demon isn't staying
hidden anymore.
This year I got to create art for a wonderful story called "It Can't Rain All The Time" by meganlouise86.
Every time I create art for someone I learn something new or push myself to be better at something. This year I pushed my self to make a picture out of a bunch of different pieces. I did this because I knew what I wanted in my head but after hours of searching I still could not find what I was looking for. I thought it would be neat to show you the pieces and how they went together.
First some quick background, and it will be a spoiler if you haven't read the story.

In the story Sam and Dean end up at a house tucked back in the woods. It is raining so had that the bridge that they cross to get there is flooded and they can't leave. I wanted to create a banner with that house.
First I found a nice wooded picture that I like:
And then I added this house that I cut out of a picture:
This is what I ended up with. It is nice enough but it looked to nice, and not really like a house tucked in the woods:
So I searched for a few things to help with the whole in the woods.
This ended up being the bushes in front of the house:
This is the tree that ended up on the right side of the house:
And I cut out the grass to add the yard:
Then I used these textures:
Here is the finished banner:
I also created a fanmic to go with the story:
