Hmmmm
Wow, I have been really inconsistant in updating my journal. It seems every time I come here I'm giving a huge update and kind of skimming over things. I really want to try and keep this regular.
Patrick is doing ok in preschool. The last few times we went he did some good sitting on his mat in circle and one of the days his free play was awesome and he didn't get into any trouble. We're still waiting for a call to hear when his asessment will be but either way I am feeling very positive about his improvment. His pumpking patch trip is tomorrow and we're both kind of excited about an outing together.
Matthew's school pics were terrible. He is totally frowning at the lady. I asked him why and he said she told him his smile was too big. Grrrrrrrrr. So he goes for retakes on Nov 2nd. His reading is coming along great. Sight words are coming quicker and quicker but he has trouble sounding so I'm gonna move on to phonics next. His rhyming is improving which is important when it comes to learning to read.
I am tired but happy. I'm up at night still with Patrick and we think it's the meds or the epilepsy...hard to tell which. He has started having accidents at night which is odd for him but I guess not that odd at his age. Not sure how we'll approach that.
James is working a lot but it is paying off. We are almost out of debt and he just bought a huge boat for $2500. THe guy is moving and only wanted what he put into the engine this year. WOW! If we find we can't afford to keep it we can sell it for much much more so we're looking at it as an investment.
We're finally going to get to go to a work Christmas party. James's second job is having one. The business is owned by an italian family and I've heard the party is just like a big italian wedding. I'm buying a new dress (since I don't have one party dress in my closet). I am so excited!! I think if we can get a babysitter for the night we might stay at a hotel. *GRIN*
