Yes, I am addicted to The Cure to my core!!! I really adore The Cure. Robert Smith is my GOD. My life has been helped by The Cure actually. And concurrently I have been obsessed with The Cure deeply and heavy for 6 or 7 years. Of course I have a lot of Cure CDs. Albums + singles + bootleg CDs + records + official videos + bootleg videos = 60 or more? I don't know... The LIVE8 performance was really exciting!! :D Maybe you know the fan site, "Chain Of Flowers". You can download and save the performance there.
Oh, your favorite is Gackt?! He is a Japanese artist. Actually I am surprised that there are many fans of him in overseas country. I heard that he lived near by my town for several years ago!! You should check "amazon.co.jp" out!! I guess that you can get all CDs of him there. ;) http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/1094656/ref=pd_rhf_c_1/249-3617935-0011536 Good luck!! ;)
Aww thanks!! I love to draw Robert. And I love your drawings, so I plead with you to draw Robert, too... :D
Maybe I will draw Robert one day for you. :) I have maybe 30 Cure cds, but not any bootlegs or live shows. I'd like to get some live shows somehow. I went to one show they had in 2000 for the Bloodflowers tour (did you get to see it?) I wanted to go to Curosia in 2004, but I didn't have the opportunity for it.
As for Gackt, yeah, I really like him alot. Sometimes I go to eBay to find his CDs but it's hard to get the official japanese release. I haven't tried amazon.com yet. I will take a look at that. I like to buy many things from Japan sometimes and I go to Yahoo acution in Japan to find cool stuff. It's not efficient to buy low cost stuff because most Japanese don't ship to the US and I have to pay charges to a proxy bidding company. :( But I do have a few CDs, lots of mp3s and downloaded many Gacky videos online. (I also bought his movie Moonchild and his game Bujingai! They were released in the US!)
Oh, sounds sweet!!! Thanks!!! :D Oh, you have a lot of The Cure CDs, too!! And you have a experience of their gig!! I really envy you!! Yeah, Curiosa looked very exciting, I am regret, too... I have never seen their gigs. The Cure have not been play in Japan for 21 years!! And I always spend my money for CDs or silly hobbies or playing with my friends, so I can't have savings enough to traveling abroad. But recently I finally decide to make money for seeing The Cure gigs in overseas until I die. Because it is impossible and I gave up to see their any gigs in Japan!!
Oh, there is a problem with shipping... I often buy CDs from 'amazon.de(German)', I have no troubles before in my case. Gackt's nick name is "Gacky"? Sounds fresh. In Japan, he is called "Gackn". You can get his items almost completely...this internet-world is adorable for us(=people addicted to something). And I am really surprised the movie and the game were released in your country!! Does the movie have English subtitles??
Sorry, it's just Gackt, not Gacky, that was a typo. I haven't looked at amazon yet for his CDS but I will check soon and see if there is a good price on them. :) I know he has a lot of songs and I have many of them in mp3 format, but I want to get the CDs and the videos too because I enjoy collecting. Yes, his movie, Moonchild was released over here with english subtitled. (Good thing, because I don't really know much japanese at all!) It must cost a lot to go overseas to see the Cure, but I don't think I will ever see a Gackt concert either. :(
I did look on amazon one time for my favorire japanese RPG series Shin Megami Tensei, but that was a long time ago. Usually I look for the trading cards and figures and things on Yahoo Japan, but the cards get very expensive. Over here in the US, I like to go on ebay because they have all sorts of things and you can usually get things for much less than you find in the stores, but theings like Gackt and Shin Megami Tensei can be hard to find regardless.
It's too bad that the Cure has not gone to Japan for such along time. I think they should go soon, but maybe they think they don't have many fans in Japan? Usually Japan always gets the best version of the albums with extra songs on it. In the US and UK we have to buy extra single CDs to get the extra songs that come with the Japanese CD. It's ok though, because I enjoy looking for these CD and adding them to my collection.
