So me and my friends got to meet One Way
We went to see One Way in Jersey last weekend. I guess there is perks of being an admin of a fanclub!
I’m typing this fan account on the plane I’m a little bit tired so bare with me. First things first we got to the theatre about a hour early we waited outside in the rain. We were some of the first people there so we were able to get good seats. When the doors opened everybody was pushing to get through the door. Then when the theater allowed us to take our seats it was a beeline to get seats. I think I got scratched but its whatever. So the first couple of rows were reserved for family members of the people who were participating in the play Hong Gil Dong. We were on about the fifth or sixth row. There was a play and a Rutgers version of Superstar K they called it Superstar KSA. After the finalist for the singing competition the play started it was hilarious the people from the KSA did a wonderful job. After that this guy named David from MBC audition performed a couple of Bruno Mars songs and Nothing Better. He was really talented, and he is supposed to become a Cube trainee so watch out for him.
Then after he got on stage One Way came out. First they played “The Forecast” intro for a few seconds then it went into One Way the song. The boys came out in their G’d out poses and we were all like “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” We were singing along and bouncing in our chairs we really hype. I don’t remember the order of the songs but I’ll give you the best rundown I can. The boys introduced themselves and all the girls went crazy for Young Sky even the ones who were not One Loves. After that the boys went into “Baby By Me” by 50 Cent and Neyo. They wrecked it and once again Young Sky was getting lots of love from the girls. Then they sang “Wrong Number”, and we were singing out the words fan girling over them. In person the boys are extremely handsome. When the light shined down on them I lost my breath for a second. Young Sky is just striking. Peter is very warm, I’ll explain this later lol, and Chance has the most amazing speaking voice I think I have ever heard. They then sang “U Drag” of course we knew all the words all the loves were spread out, but we were just singing having a good time and supporting the boys in our little section. Then they sat down on stools and sang the English version of “Rainy Days” we were all swaying in our seats just vibing out. I must say that the boys sound better live then they do on the CD, and it really impressed me. I was thinking I wish I could have audio of this concert lol. After that they brought out a cake and gave it to Sky for his birthday the whole crowd sang happy birthday to him, and Joe was really surprised. He though they had prepared the cake and what not for a fan. Next the boys got back on the stools and performed “Only Look at Me” Chance told the crowd that men shouldn’t treat their girlfriends like the lyrics of the song for those who aren’t familiar with the song, and those who don’t know what the lyrics mean. So I sang the song with them, because Taeyang was my introduction to Kpop, and “Only Look at Me” is one of my favorite One Way covers. Then they did an old school K- R&B song I don’t remember the title but it sounded amazing. After that Chance told us the show was over, and then everybody started yelling out “Encore, Encore, Encore!!!!!!!” So the boys came back out and asked the crowd what song we wanted to hear. They ended up doing “Magic” , it seemed like almost everyone knew “Magic” because everyone stood up starting singing and dancing. Some people even rushed toward the front closer to the stage. The boys killed this performance I have never seen the perform “Magic” , that flawlessly before, but then again I could just be biased. So at this point I was feeling so proud as a One Love. The Rutgers audience gave the boys so much love, and I was really proud. I was feeling like F Yeah One Way lol.
After that the show ended. We stuck around the theater because we had to drop something off to the boys. Peter almost forgot about us, but it’s ok since he gives really amazing hugs lol. So our ride was pretty much there and Dee asked the guy named Brian outside of the theater could we give them what we needed to give them because we could not wait much longer. Somebody was supposed to meet us out front. So Brian calls someone, and he tells us they were about to leave and will meet us in about a minute. So were just waiting outside in the cold are fingers were almost numb, and my feet felt like ice blocks. Then a car pulls around and Young Sky rolls down the window, and he is like, “Hey!” while hanging out of the window. At first we were like WTF because we can’t see that well in the dark, but then we realized who it was so we rush over to them they all hop out of the car and I’m freaking out on the inside. We say, “hello”, and I shake hands with Peter first, then Young Sky, and finally Chance. I must say Chance is so adorable he introduced himself as Chance and then he said Mikey I was like awwww so cute. Dee and Dani asked Peter if he forgot about us, and Peter looked like he felt bad at least that’s what Dee says. Chance told us we could take pictures. I don’t remember the exact wording because I was mesmerized by how attractive they all are especially Sky. I could not stop looking at his face lol. So we chat for a bit about the show, and Chance asks me if I’m from Missouri, and I was like yeah. At first I was wondering how he knew but then I realized I had on my school hoodie since it was so cold in Jersey. I was talking to Chance and the whole time I’m looking up at him thinking “your speaking voice is amazing.” He sounds really good in person I love his speaking and singing voice. Peter was speaking in his Aussie accent because Dee wanted him too lol. Sky was finally like let’s go under the light to take pictures so we went under the light outside of the theater, and they were lined up to take pics. They were like is it just going to be us three in the picture. So me and Dani got in the picture with them. Dani was between Sky and Peter and I was between Chance and Sky. Then Akilah got on the end with Chance and Dee got on the other end with Peter. We took pics and then we got hugs before we left.
Sky really is smooth and he is the sweetest person ever. Chance was a little quiet, and he was such a cutie pie. I didn’t know he was so adorable. Peter is everything I imagined him to be lol. What you see of him on Youtube is pretty much how he is in person. He is really friends, has a great smile, and when you hug him you feel warm on the inside. So after that we left, and we were waiving bye as they passed by us. I know this is long its about two and a half word pages lol. If One Way ever comes to your country, state, etc. You must go see them they are amazing live, and really care about their fans. They didn’t have to come see us after the show, but they did and I know they were tired, I am extremely grateful to them for taking out time to meet us .
