While we were having CR Break after lunch, my officemate told me the sweet dream she had last night. It was her wedding, a sweet one. She's happy eventhough she hasn't seen who the groom is.
It got her excited actually. She felt, upon waking up, that it won't be long until she meets le groom. When she was in Hongkong, she prayed to St. Joseph for him. That got me confused, asking her, "Why St. Joseph?". Turns out it was because he's the good husband. So praying to him about le groom and all his specific traits (yes, you must be specific), if heard, would give you the husband that you want.
Officemate then told me, "You should pray for one, Ashley."
Uh-oh. Of course I have a checklist. That would make the praying so easy. But thinking about it, I don't really want to pray for a husband. Husband entails commitment and it comes with the scary word--marriage.
So yeah. Will it be okay to pray for just a boyfriend? Or a man? Or a ka-landian so to speak? To the Good Husband according to my religion.
Sorry, St Joseph. It might sound really blasphemous or disrespectful to you. But there's no harm in trying, right?
*fast-forward:the boyfriend prayer, can it last for 3 years? then eventually he'll turn into husband-material? I don't want someone to be forever stuck in the "I just want to be your bf, never your husband" phase*
love,
