Alright so this is the only college essay short answer thing that i have written thus far that i kind of like. So i would really appreciate it if you guys could read it and give me some feedback. Now, keep in mind that this is a liberal arts school and that they are not exactly as academic as many of the schools the majority of you will prolly be applying to.  basically this is no MIT, or stanford.so the question was " If you were to write the story of your life until now, what would you title it? Why?" and they actually say before that that they want you to relax and to have fun with the answer. So following those wonderful instructions i wrote this:

As the title of my life story thus far I would have to pick, “Too many talents, too little time”. My life up until now has been unusual to say the least. Not necessarily unusual in the sense that odd things continuously happen to me, but the kind of unusual that occurs as a result of my whole family being involved in the entertainment industry. I have had countless opportunities to accompany my parents to movie sets and movie premiers, and have even attended sets for my own work. There has never been a dull moment in my childhood as a result of the “family business”, if you will. All of this is wonderful and I would never trade it for the typical childhood, yet there has always been one thing that has bothered me about our lifestyle. There never seems to be enough time for my parents, or myself, to do everything we love to do. The title actually hit me when someone asked me what my dad did in the entertainment industry. I didn’t know what to answer. The only fitting reply I could think of was “What doesn’t my dad do in the industry?”. He writes, produces, builds sets, builds miniatures, acts, does special effects make-up, is a set decorator; the list is endless. I then moved on to think about my mom who sews, loves crafts, works on every endeavor with my dad, manages at a restaurant, and pursues countless other interests as well. My brother is a digital animator but dabbles in music and art. Then there is me. Ever since I was five whenever people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up I would say “I want to be a singer, an actor, and a dancer!”. I have since refined my goals but I still have so many things that I would love to try and talents that I would love to uncover and explore. I am not unhappy with my family’s over abundance of hobbies, talents, and careers; I only wish that we had more time to be, well, normal.
