So many major shakeups its hard to post details about any of the trivial stuff.

Its been a while since I made a post with any real substance to it. Bullet points:

-Mom's last PET scan showed a spot of cancer. We were not ready for round 3 just yet. I freaked. She didn't. She wins.

+Mom's team of medical professionals dealt with it with a fury and its already been removed. Path lab shows it was benign, so alls well.

-Cracked head on the Alero. With 160,000 miles on her, the cost benefit analysis on the repair= might as well just buy a new car. Sigh. I was getting used to no monthly payments. If Oldsmobile were still making cars, I'd buy another Alero as I really liked that car.

+Get to buy a new car, which is somewhat exciting. Nissan Rogue???

+And while I shop I get to drive Chelsea's mini cooper, which is fun as hell to drive.

+Chelsea converted to the insulin pump with success just before Christmas.

+I went live on the pump today. I'm scared shitless. I've been surprised by the number of people who've responded negatively to the news. Several "oh no" and "omg why?" reactions. Its a great thing across the board and will likely add several years to my life expectancy. This is crucial as I have a nephew to corrupt with rock and roll and legos.

-Converting to the pump means I've been grounded from travel. I haven't spent 9 weeks in a row at home in 5 years. I'm certain I'm on Chelsea's last nerve.

-I'm down with the 3 day common cold crud. (My weekend SUCKED.) I think I'm in the final stages, but it has complicated pump prep. Being sick makes my numbers wacky.

+At home sick= a little extra eve time. I was instrumental in exploding another alliance into a flaming ball of drama. WIN.

+At home for 9 weeks= completing a few neglected odd jobs around the house. Like cleaning out the garage. I threw away my old hockey gear, finally admitting that I'm not likely to ever play again. Even if I do lace up skates and attempt to play, that shit stunk. I kept only my old jersey. (Lucky # and everything!) I'm still proud of the fact that I was the first person ever thrown out of a game in our league AND made the allstar team based on non-goon behavior.

I finished my year in review 2007 cd. Copies available on request as usual. Tracklist available on request as well.

Chelsea and I try to see our nephew as much as we can without being a bother to my sister. He's only 1, but I can tell she's doing a killer job raising the guy: theres no way he can turn out to be anything but a great kid.

Thats January in a nutshell. More plus than minus?

Bring on April: the Aday game and Gatlinberg.
