I wonder...
How come the terms "cynical Christian" or "pessimistic Christian" aren't oxymorons?
Actually, I don't wonder at all. Those Christians just haven't caught on to the amazing depth of love and hope that Christ brings when he comes into their lives. They have not yet received (because a gift has to be received) the spectacular joy that He offers. They haven't grasped the reality that All things are possible with God.
No wonder their lives are rough. :(
