Corset is sewn and awaiting hardware ordered yesterday.

Necklace just finished, tomorrow I'll put a dark tarnish on it to look more like the real thing.

I've got time coming but I can't take it. LOL. I have our fundraiser the next Friday, which I'm running! I'll be a puddle by the time that's over.

As for the flight over. I figure if we're obnoxious enough, someone might give up their seat. We're going to try to connect before we get on the plane. That will be trickier for me since I'm just checking in.

Are you still doing the Hathor costume, too?

No Hathor. :( I realized really early on that I'd be pressed to do both, and I wanted to save time just in case we did that blue dress for you. I'll still be able to wear my hair all Hathor-ed out. I *probably* could, if I totally ignored all my family responsibilities. Hathor would have been my first costume choice but I had found that other fabric for Amaterasu and jumped on it before it was sold out. Having shelled out for fabric I probably wouldn't use otherwise, I really felt compelled to do that costume. I'm still toying with the idea of doing just a bustier top modelled on Hathor's rust colored dress. I could wear it with jeans and do the arm bracelets and stuff...

That would be great for the Saturday night, or to the GW dinner. When is the costume competition?

Beautiful necklace. That looks very difficult. Have you done any Mardi Gras costumes this year? I heard that it's going on this year. I looked it up. It's on the 28th, right?
