*24. December*

"Today is Christmas Eve," SiWon whispered sadly.

"I'm hungry, SiWonnie...and thirsty," HeeChul murmured with a sigh.

SiWon only nodded, although he knew that HeeChul couldn't see it in the dark.

They had lived here for the last few days without anything to eat or drink. They got used to the smell, but it was cold and they were hungry.

"Christmas Eve...," HeeChul repeated slowly and just as sad.

"At least, we have each other and can spend it together," SiWon said with a weak smile to lighten up the mood. They couldn't give up. They had to stay strong.

"I'm so hungry," SiWon whispered quietly once again. It was the only think they could think of right now.

"SiWonnie...you wanted to tell me what had happened that day? Do you remember?" HeeChul suddenly asked.

SiWon stared at him in surprise and hesitated. He did remember. He hadn't forgotten, but he just didn't want to tell.

"You wanted to tell me," HeeChul repeated expectantly and SiWon sighed, but nodded. "Chullie," SiWon started and embraced him tightly, before he started. "That day...A man came. He wanted to take me somewhere. I followed him without struggling because I hoped, he would lead me to you." SiWon spoke slowly and made a little break after every sentence to think again about what he should say and how to say it best.

"But he wanted to lock me into a room. It was a scary room. Big and empty except of a chair in the middle and wires led to it. I panicked and wanted to run away. The man, he tried to stop me, but you know...I know taekwondo. I beat him and was able to escape. I didn't know where to run and I didn't know where you were, but I finally found you in a big lab. You were lying on the ground, unconscious." SiWon stopped and looked down at HeeChul. The older one stared up at SiWon, curious about what had happened. "I remember passing out at some point," HeeChul mumbled to confirm what SiWon had said.

SiWon continued then. "There were two men around you. They didn't hear me. They were talking about something. I can't remember what it was though. However, they didn't expect me, so I was able to attack them without them knowing what was going on at first. The time, they needed to realize it was me, they had already lost consciousness," SiWon told HeeChul, but the older one wasn't satisfied with this. "And what has happened then?"

"I took you and ran away," SiWon stated with a shrug.

HeeChul sighed. He wanted to know what was going on. Why did this have to happen? What had they even planned? Who were they?

"Chullie, you haven't told me what they have done to you there yet," SiWon said carefully. He didn't want to push HeeChul to telling him, but he wanted to know. He was worried.

"I remember being on a chair. And I remember a syringe. That's everything, before I lost consciousness," HeeChul replied with a sigh.

"What was in the syringe?" SiWon asked, but HeeChul could only shake his head. "I don't know."

SiWon didn't say anything back. They remained silent for some time until HeeChul's stomach growled. HeeChul rubbed his hand over it and another sigh fell from his lips.

Suddenly, SiWon loosened his hug and stood up, pulling HeeChul along with him. "Let's look for something to eat," SiWon suggested and HeeChul nodded eagerly. They stilled and listened for any noises first, before they opened the door. Light brightened up the room and HeeChul could see SiWon smiling reassuringly at him. He returned the smile and kissed him. He suddenly felt the need to feel SiWon's body. He needed to feel him to be sure they were alive, both of them.

SiWon wanted to hurry. It seemed to be night as the window nearby indicated, but he couldn't reject HeeChul either.

They kissed for several minutes, losing their feel of time until SiWon eventually broke the kiss. He looked lovingly at HeeChul to apologize, but they had to stop. "We can continue later," he whispered softly. "But let's hurry now."

HeeChul nodded and so, they quickly tip-toed downstairs and out of the room to the hallway. No one was there and SiWon and HeeChul were both as quietly as possible not to cause them to get caught.

"Where to go?" SiWon mumbled and looked in both directions. "That way," HeeChul decided and dragged SiWon to the right.

"Uhm...okay." SiWon was a little bit surprised, but went along with HeeChul's choice.

"Do you see this picture there on the wall?" HeeChul asked in a whisper and SiWon nodded.

"I remember having seen it already when one of these men took me with them. It smelled delicious here, so I assume, here has to be something like a kitchen," HeeChul explained.

SiWon was impressed when they actually found a room where food was stored.

HeeChul immediately grabbed something to eat, but SiWon stopped him. "I know you are hungry, but we have to take less and only what seems like it won't be noticed if it's missing, alright?"

HeeChul bit his lower lip, but nodded nonetheless. "Right. We won't want them to catch us," he muttered and so, they quickly took some food and three bottles of water.

HeeChul stared at the food suspiciously, but took a bite. "Hm, it's okay," he decided and continued to eat.

SiWon couldn't hold himself back anymore, and just took some bread as well. They ate and drank until they felt strength return to their bodies.

"Let's go back now," SiWon said finally and wanted to make a move, but all of a sudden, a noise was heard along with steps which quickly approached.

HeeChul panicked and stopped instantly with what he was doing, but SiWon was able to react and pulled HeeChul with him away from the door. In that process, HeeChul let all their food and their bottles fall to the ground, but they couldn't care less right now. The room was big, so somewhere, they would find a place to hide.

But before they were able to, the door was flung open.

SiWon and HeeChul jerked around and stared at the direction of the loud noise in shock.

The man immediately spotted them and ran toward them.

"Oh shit!" HeeChul muttered and wanted to turn around and run, but only now, they realized they were trapped. There was no other door. "We shouldn't have wasted so much time in here," he hissed.

"I know, but now, it's too late," SiWon said back and walked in front of HeeChul. The man was on his own and without a weapon, so SiWon could at least try.

"When he stumbles or is distracted, then run, understood?" SiWon demanded firmly in a whisper. HeeChul only nodded without saying anything.

The man came closer and SiWon pushed him away and placed a hard kick to his stomach. The man stumbled and with a brief look back, SiWon gave HeeChul a sign. HeeChul ran around them and to the door, but didn't leave.

SiWon stared at him, but HeeChul stayed.

Before the other man, obviously surprised about SiWon's strength, had recovered, SiWon pressed him to the ground and gave his head a hard kick. The man lost consciousness and SiWon quickly caught up to HeeChul. They ran out of the room.

From the left, they heard more steps approaching. "Come on," HeeChul said and pulled SiWon to the right.
