*21. December*
HeeChul was trembling. He had never expected this.
Right now, he was led into a big room. No students could come here, but they still were somewhere in the boarding school, or a building next to that. But still behind the big wall.
HeeChul looked back. SiWon wasn't with him. He still was outside. It was winter. It was cold. How could they let them live outside? At least, they were allowed to spend the nights inside in a small room. It wasn't warm there, but when it was getting even colder at night, SiWon always embraced HeeChul tightly to keep him warm. HeeChul was very thankful for that. He was sure, without SiWon, he would have frozen to death by now, so how did SiWon manage to still be alive?
HeeChul wanted SiWon by his side, but SiWon was still behind the metal fence.
HeeChul's heart started to race. Its pace was encreasing rapidly. He already knew what was going to happen. At least, he thought like that. The last times he had been led away from SiWon, he had been tortured. He had been beaten. They wanted him to admit his love for SiWon. They wanted him to admit that he was gay.
HeeChul hadn't understood the reason. What did they have from him saying that? At first, HeeChul hadn't said anything, and just let them torture him.
At night, he had been brought back to a shocked SiWon, when latter noticed his lover's condition he was in.
HeeChul had told SiWon everything, and SiWon had convinced HeeChul to just obey, so he wouldn't get any more hurt.
Last time, HeeChul had done everything they wanted from him, so what was happening now? To his surprise, this wasn't the room, he had been in before. It was a new room. And it was even bigger than the other one. It was a lab.
HeeChul gulped. He was still trembling visibly.
The men, that had a grip on his arms, dragging HeeChul with them and threw him to the ground in a corner.
HeeChul looked up. His body felt already weak after the torture, so this simple action hurt a lot. Though, HeeChul knew, worse was yet to come. And as much as he tried to prepare himself for that, it was useless.
He tried to stand up, but was pinned to the ground by a foot. HeeChul groaned and closed his eyes.
"Change it. Start with it immediately," a voice announced somewhere above HeeChul and he was dragged over the floor to a metal chair and seated there.
HeeChul's head slammed back against the back of the seat and he pulled his eyes open when he felt something cold against his skin.
He saw a syringe. It looked scary. It did scare HeeChul. He had never liked syringes, but this was just plainly frightening.
HeeChul shifted and winced, but chains were put arround his wrists and ankles to keep him in place. He wasn't able to move at all when he felt the needle pierce his skin and he screamed. Liquid rushed into his body and HeeChul twisted to get away, but it was useless.
Seconds later, HeeChul lost consciousness.
He heard screams and yells in the backround, but felt too weak to open his eyes. He was still sleepy.
All of a sudden, he was hitting the ground. He groaned silently and finally opened his eyes.
Everything was dark. He was so exhausted that he just closed his eyes again and tried to feel what was going on. He realized how strong arms picked him up. He was shaken. The one that was carrying him was obviously running.
HeeChul groaned again. His body hurt, but he managed to open his eyes.
SiWon was holding him tightly in his arms while running. "SiWonnie...?" HeeChul whispered quietly and caught his boyfriend's attention immediately. SiWon smiled in relief at seeing HeeChul awake.
"Chullie, finally! Can I carry you on my back? That would be easier, but only if you can hold yourself up. At least a little bit," SiWon suggested hopefully and HeeChul agreed, so SiWon quickly let him down and kneeled down for the weak HeeChul to climb onto him.
SiWon put his hands on the back of HeeChul's thighs to support his weight while resuming the run.
"Where are we?" HeeChul asked in wonder.
SiWon shrugged. "I don't know."
"And how did...I don't know...What did even happen?" HeeChul whispered slowly. His head was still aching and it was hard for his brain to cooperate right now, so he was confused and slow with speaking.
SiWon sighed. "I'll tell you later, okay? First, we have to find somewhere to hide."
Suddenly, they heard noises. SiWon's eyes widened and he looked around in panic.
"There," he mumbled, more to himself and went inside a room. The door had been ajar. It was empty.
The voices came closer and HeeChul and SiWon held their breathes.
"The boy wasn't good enough anyway," someone muttered.
"Shut up. We can't let them escape. Idiot!" another man hissed.
"I know that already. But, will the same happen to that skinny guy?"
"I guess so. The results showed that his body is too weak."
"But they were positive."
"Yes, but Mr. Lee has to decide whether..."
The voices disappeared with the steps when the two men went past the room HeeChul and SiWon were in and around a corner.
"What was that about?" SiWon asked HeeChul slowly.
"They talked about me, didn't they?" HeeChul replied and SiWon nodded hesitantly, lost in his own thoughts.
"And what did they mean? Which results? HeeChul, have they done anything to you?" SiWon asked sternly, but HeeChul just shrugged. "I don't know what this meant."
There eyes met as SiWon turned toward his boyfriend to observe him carefully.
"We still have to hide somewhere," HeeChul whispered slowly and SiWon nodded. He stood up and pulled his boyfriend up with him. They looked around. "We need to escape for sure, but it might be too dangerous if we try now. You heard it, they are looking for us," SiWon stated.
HeeChul grabbed SiWon's hand. It helped to even his breath immediately, thus, HeeChul could try to think of a solution.
"Here is a wooden staircase, SiWonnie. Let's go up there," HeeChul suggested suddenly with a look at it and SiWon agreed. Hand in hand, they approached it and looked up. Nothing could be seen, so they slowly started to go upstairs where they reached a little room. Dust was everywhere and indicated that people rarely came up here.
"Let's stay here," SiWon said and they went inside and closed the door. Everything was dark. A stench wafted toward them.
"Eh, this smell," HeeChul muttered in disgust and tried not to breathe through his nose.
"Yeah, smells like something dead is kept in here. An old, disgusting smell of death...," SiWon said in clear disgust as well. "But we have to stay here, Chullie."
"I know," HeeChul mumbled with a sigh and leaned his head onto SiWon's shoulder.
They felt their way to a wall and slowly sank down. SiWon wrapped his arms around HeeChul's weak body and they rested their heads against each other, before sleep took over them. It was too difficult to keep their eyes open anymore. To tiring.
