AN: This is actually the last chapter, but I thought of making a special 43rd day :) I'm not sure I can write it down how I want to, so if it's not good, I wont post it, but I can try. That's also why this ending isn't clearly an ending. But still, hope you liked it, everyone ^^ Thanks really much for reading all of it :) <3
---[42 - SUNDAY]
"Appa! Umma!" Someone cried and HeeChul creaked one eye open just to see his daughter standing in front of him.
"I'm scared," she sobbed with Kitty in her arms.
HeeChul rubbed his eyes and switched on the little lamp on the small table next to the bed.
"Chin-Sunnie?" he murmured and yawned. It was the middle of the night.
SiWon started to move next to him. He probably woke up as well.
"Why are you scared? Don't cry, baby girl, don't cry," HeeChul shushed her, sitting up and lifting her up to sit on his lap when he understood the situation fully with his sleepy mind.
SiWon rubbed his eyes and sat up as well. "What's the matter?" he murmured sleepyly.
Chin-Sun was still silently sobbing.
"Chin-Sunnie is here," HeeChul whispered to him before he turned his attention back to the little girl to soothe her.
"Your daughter," SiWon murmured, turned around and lay back down to sleep.
HeeChul stared at him in disbelief. "Our daughter," he hissed silently.
He eventually succeeded in calming Chin-Sun down. "Did you have a nightmare?" he asked her in concern and she nodded.
"Do you want to talk about it or just sleep here with us?" HeeChul asked her.
She seemed to think for a moment before she started to talk. "There was a big forest. And you were there, Umma. With Appa. And there was a big bear, as big as a house, and he was chasing you and you ran away, but the bear was faster and he ran to you and wanted to kill you both...I couldn't do anything," she murmured the last sentence, on the verge of tears once again, but HeeChul stroke through her hair reassuringly. "Don't worry, Appa and me, we won't be eaten by a bear. We are safe. Nothing will happen. Bears aren't really that big. Just forget it, okay?"
Chin-Sun nodded. "Alright, Umma."
HeeChul smiled a warm smile and kissed her. "And now, do your Umma a favor and jump on Appa for just falling asleep once again," he told her with a grin.
"Really?" Chin-Sun questioned insecurely, but HeeChul nodded emphatically.
Chin-Sun grinned as well and stood up on the bed. She stumbled over to SiWon and let herself fall down on SiWon with a loud "APPA!"-call.
SiWon sat up in shock.
"Appa," Chin-Sun chanted with a smile.
SiWon was panting. He obviously had been deep in his dreamland once again.
HeeChul smirked. "Your daughter wants to sleep with us because she had a nightmare," he stated smugly.
First, SiWon looked at HeeChul in confusion, and then stared at the little girl on top of him. "Uh, Chin-Sunnie, I was sleeping," he murmured with a sigh.
"But it's also your daughter," HeeChul told him and Chin-Sun nodded eagerly.
SiWon returned the smile and wrapped his arms around Chin-Sun. "But now, you are alright, right?" he asked and the girl nodded. "Then sleep here, between us, okay?" SiWon suggested and made her lie down. He grinned at HeeChul, but eventually they all fell asleep once again.
---
Finally it was the next morning. SiWon stood up early to go to church.
HeeChul felt too lazy to stand up even though he actually felt really healthy today.
But Chin-Sun was already too energetic and forced HeeChul to stand up as well. She convinced him to take some time to play with her and HeeChul decided that she was right. After all, when he thought back, he wasn't quite a good father, he realized and immediately felt guilty.
Chin-Sun didn't need an apology for she was already content enough with dragging her Umma in her room to play with her toys.
"Okay, now, let's get ready and prepare breakfast, so that we can all eat together once SiWon returns, Chin-Sunnie baby," HeeChul suggested after an hour.
The little girl pouted, obviously not wanting to stop right now. "But Umma," she whined. "I want to play with you!"
"We played the whole time," HeeChul said back with a loving smile.
"But Umma! I don't want to get dressed just yet. It's only Sunday and-" the little girl protested but HeeChul shook his head. "Stop complaining. We'll take a shower first and then prepare breakfast, Chin-Sunnie. Appa and Umma want to go somewhere later on. You have to come with us," HeeChul informed her and took her hand to pull her to the bathroom. "You know, we have a surprise for you."
She pouted even more and struggled to get free, declaring her refusal loudly. She probably didn't believe in getting a surprise, HeeChul thought.
HeeChul just ignored her. He undressed her and himself and went to take a shower with her, cleaning her properly. She didn't help him in any way, but HeeChul didn't care. He felt really happy today and he didn't want to risk his good mood to disappear because of his daughter's behavior.
Eventually, after twenty minutes longer than usually, both were cleaned properly and dressed. HeeChul made her sit at the table in the kitchen while he prepared breakfast.
SiWon had to come in any minute, and soon, the door was unlocked and he entered their apartment with a happy "Good morning!"
HeeChul smiled to himself. Chin-Sun had crossed her arms in front of her chest, still huffy for HeeChul hadn't continued to play with her anymore.
SiWon frowned at seeing the girl like that and he looked at his boyfriend in confusion. "What's wrong?" he asked.
HeeChul just smiled. "It's nothing. She just didn't want to get dressed after I played with her."
SiWon nodded and leaned down to be face to face with Chin-Sun. "Hey, little princess. Don't be like that. You know, we love you. Has Umma already told you where we are going today?" he asked, making her curious. She uncrossed her arms and looked at him with big eyes. "No! Tell me, Appa."
"It's a surprise, but I'm sure, you'll like it," SiWon told her with a grin.
She pouted slightly at first, but then decided otherwise and observed SiWon skeptically. "Promise?"
SiWon and HeeChul both chuckled. "Promise."
Finally, Chin-Sun smiled as well and they all started to eat breakfast together.
"Appa and Umma will clean the dishes first before we're going, so you can play in your room for some more minutes, alright?" SiWon told Chin-Sun who nodded and left.
HeeChul looked at SiWon, slightly smiling and SiWon wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's waist, pulling him closer. Their lips met for a slow, passionate kiss.
Eventually, after some minutes, HeeChul pulled his head back. "Shouldn't we start cleaning now?" he asked with a grin.
SiWon laughed, kissed HeeChul once again and then let go of him to reach for the dishes. HeeChul helped him and soon, they were ready to leave.
They went out of the building. Chin-Sun was holding SiWon's right and HeeChul's left hand happily. She was excited, anticipating the surprise.
They were all smiling happily, but it was only when they were about sixty metres away from their destination, that Chin-Sun finally screamed in excitement. "The Zoo!! We're going to the zoo, right? We're going to the zoo!"
HeeChul nodded with a chuckle. "Exactly, my princess."
She bounced for the rest of the way until they finally had paid and were in front of the first compound.
"Zebras!" the little girl exclaimed and ran closer. HeeChul locked eyes with SiWon and grinned at their cute daughter's behavior.
SiWon reached for HeeChul's hand, carefully, while keeping eye contact.
HeeChul only smiled and squeezed tighter, making SiWon sure that he wanted their hands to be connected.
Chin-Sun was easily bored by the animals when they were sleeping or only eating, so she quickly choose to run to the next compound.
HeeChul and SiWon just followed her, making sure to not lose her. "Do you remember the first time we were here?" SiWon eventually asked.
HeeChul laughed but nodded. "We lost her," he stated and SiWon nodded as well with a chuckle. "It had been your fault though."
"No, stop blaming me!" HeeChul said back, staring at SiWon with a cold gaze.
SiWon returned the gaze but before long, they both fell into laughter. "As long as we won't lose her again this time," HeeChul said with a shrug and SiWon nodded and squeezed HeeChul's hand. "How are you?" he then asked.
HeeChul raised his eyebrows. "Why are you asking me how I am?"
"How are you feeling?" SiWon then corrected himself. He looked with worry at his boyfriend and his free hand ran down HeeChul's body to his tummy, carefully rubbing it a few times.
"Don't. They probably already think I'm fat anyway," HeeChul stated with a pout and backed away.
"No. Oh, Chullie, seriously, don't say it again. Please, why can't you just be happy to be pregnant? I know, it's not easy and it's all my fault, but aren't you happy to have another child soon?" SiWon asked with a sad sigh.
HeeChul sighed as well, but nodded. "I am happy. I'm sorry, SiWon, but I'm just worried. Anyway, I'm sure it will-" he suddenly stopped and looked around. "SiWon!" he then exclaimed angrily.
SiWon stared at him in confusion. "What?"
"You distracted me once again! Look were Chin-Sunnie is!" HeeChul said. SiWon looked around and frowned when he didn't spot her immediately. "I don't see her."
"That's the point. I don't see her either! Damn, why do you always have to distract me? Now, we have lost her. Again," HeeChul told SiWon in exasperation.
SiWon laughed, but HeeChul immediately hit him slightly. "We have to find her. Damn. You are so useless sometimes, SiWonnie," he declared.
SiWon held him back, turned him around and kissed him briefly. "But you still love me, right, Chullie?" he asked but didn't wait for an answer for he already started to walk. "Let's go then," he said and dragged a surprised HeeChul with him.
They went almost through the whole zoo but with no luck at all.
"Damn, where the hell is Chin-Sunnie?" HeeChul asked in panic.
SiWon tried to soothe him with some slow strokes over his back. "We'll find her. She still has to be somewhere here in the zoo after all," he said.
HeeChul groaned, but wanted to continue walking when SiWon held him back. "Are you okay? Aren't you tired from all this running around?" he asked in concern but HeeChul shook his head with a sigh. "No, I'm fine, SiWonnie. I'm just worried. Where is Chin-Sunnie?" HeeChul asked desperately.
SiWon hugged him reassuringly. "We'll find her somewhere."
HeeChul and SiWon could only continue to walk along the paths to find the little girl.
They tried to decide whether to go the right or left way, when SiWon suddenly called Chin-Sun's name and pointed to the playground on the right. There, the little girl was, playing happily between the other kids.
HeeChul and SiWon rushed to her.
"Chin-Sun!" SiWon said. HeeChul was too weak to even call her name because he had been so worried. He clung onto SiWon, who supported him quickly. "Do you want to sit down?" SiWon asked but HeeChul shook his head no.
"Chin-Sun. You can't run away! Don't you know how worried we were? Don't you know how worried your Umma was?" SiWon asked, but he was clearly relieved to finally have found the little girl.
"I'm sorry. I lost you, Appa, and I didn't know where to go, so I decided to wait here," she explained with a guilty expression. HeeChul sighed silently and kneeled down to wrap his arms around her. He pressed her tightly to his body. "Stay with us from now on, understood?" he asked her friendly and she nodded. "I'm sorry, Umma," she said sadly and looked away.
"It's okay," HeeChul said and let go of her. "Do you want to play here or go to see some animals?" he asked her and she choose to stay here on the playground, so HeeChul and SiWon sat down on a bench nearby.
SiWon was stroking HeeChul's back once again, but this time with a relieved smile. "Just like the first time in the zoo. Do you remember?" he asked with a chuckle.
HeeChul could only nod. "But I hope it was the last time she disappeared. God, how can she worry me so much?" he asked in frustration.
SiWon kissed HeeChul's cheek quickly. He was relieved that today, HeeChul didn't seem to care at all for what the people around were thinking. It made SiWon happy for usually, Heechul's mood changed way too quickly and when SiWon had been holding his hand, the next moment, HeeChul had pushed him away, and SiWon never knew when he was allowed to touch HeeChul in public.
"SiWonnie, by the way, I guess, I'm sorry...for all the trouble I caused. I'm a bad boyfriend. I know it," HeeChul suddenly said and then added silently. "I probably don't deserve you at all..."
SiWon stared at him. "Since when are you saying things like that?" he asked in shock.
HeeChul looked back cluelessly.
"Chullie, this time was indeed difficult for us, but didn't it make us only stronger? At least, I think now, that I love you even more," SiWon confessed, taking HeeChul off guard.
"What?" the other one stuttered.
"I love you, Chullie. And from now on, we will be a happy family," SiWon announced, gripping HeeChul's hand tightly.
HeeChul hesitated, but then finally nodded. "Thank you then," he said shyly and SiWon laughed silently. This HeeChul reminded him so much of the old HeeChul. It remined him of HeeChul when they first met up. HeeChul had been so insecure with other people around.
SiWon smiled at the memory.
---
After being in the zoo for almost seven hours, HeeChul seemed more than exhausted and Chin-Sun was already tired as well, so SiWon decided they had seen enough for today and took them home.
On their way there, they didn't say a word. Chin-Sunnie almost fell asleep walking, so SiWon lifted her up and carried her while having one arm around HeeChul to pull him forward.
But as soon as their reached home and SiWon let Chin-Sun down, the little girl jumped up and down. "Thank you for that great day in the zoo!" she exlaimed, obviously gotten all her energie back once again.
SiWon smiled at her and nodded. "We love you, Chin-Sunnie," he told her before he led HeeChul to their bedroom.
"You probably should sleep now," SiWon told him, kissing his lips briefly.
HeeChul closed his eyes. "SiWonnie..., I feel so tired. Thank you, I probably should really rest now," he murmured with a sigh.
SiWon looked at him and his hand went to HeeChul's tummy to make small circles there, caressing it carefully. After a few seconds, he lifted the shirt up, seeing HeeChul's white skin with the small bulge.
SiWon probably though HeeChul was sleeping already, but he had only closed his eyes, just feeling SiWon's warm hand on his stomach. He smiled. This made him feel so happy.
"Soon, we are four already. I can't wait to see you. I would like to know if you're a boy or a girl. But you surely will be happy here with us. HeeChullie is a great mother and Chin-Sunnie will be a nice sister for you, I'm sure of it," he heard SiWon whisper and almost jumped up in surprise when he felt SiWon's lips on his stomach for a gentle kiss. But HeeChul remained calm and continued pretending to be asleep.
"Umma and Appa really love you a lot, remember that," SiWon said, caressing HeeChul's stomach once more, before he left stood up, pulled HeeChul's shirt down and quietly left the room.
HeeChul grinned at himself. SiWon was so cute sometimes. He really seemed to want the baby. It made HeeChul even happier suddenly.
And with these happy thoughts, he finally drifted off to sleep.
