The salt-filled skins of Ptolemaea

This one is so amazing, y'all.  Seriously.  For the Wincest Big Bang I got to work with the fantastic Maven Morozov on a kinky, dark, tender, bloody, sensitive, brutal epic.  i.e. SO MUCH MY JAM.  There are so many warnings here - underage sexuality, consensual misgendering, blood drinking, cannibalism, child murders, the list goes on - but if that's an enticement rather than a warning oh please oh please take a look.  Trans!Sam lovers, BoyKing!Sam lovers, murderbros lovers, welcome one and all!

Read this beauty here: the salt-filled skins of ptolemaea

Pics below for some spoiler content and also a lot of smutty gore.

Here, things starting nice and gently spooky with bb Sam.

And by the end we're at full cannibal demon-eating glory.

I loved adding the blood and guts to this istg.

All of these were done digitally in Sketchbook Pro on my ipad with ipencil.  The complicated angle/pose was built with figures I detailed and arranged in Daz Studio - I made plenty use of tracing out shapes/features this time, because sometimes I do that.  But then alter what needs altering, change ages, some bone structure.  The picture of young Sam on the other hand was free-handed and done in a more comic-book style.

I'd like to claim that's all entirely purposeful, e.g. I decided the innocent youthful stage needed a more innocent, youthful style, and the more gruesome grown-up art of the end of the fic needed a more gruesome grown-up style but there is a lot more necessity than that would give credit to.  But we can pretend.  That all did come to mind along the way, and the palette did purposefully become more dark, hazy, red saturated.

All right, I think that's what I can come up with for right now.  Seriously, do read this story (if it's safe for you).  It has such a real-feeling, tender exploration of trans childhood, with (for me) very satisfyingly blurry lines.  And then, much like the Winchesters, twists and grows into such marvelous, obsessive, beautiful dark.
