I have a question.

How can you predict the future, when we can't even be sure of the past?

It's a false assumption that knowing the past and discovering the future are one and the same. Their arts are related, yet very different.

Time isn't exactly linear. The past is always changing, as is the future. I guess you could correctly tell the future as it looks at that moment, but by the time we get there, something could have happened in the past to negate it.

It's a common misconception that predictions can be inaccurate, but prophecies are meant to represent a changing future. Many people label divination as vague for precisely that reason.

It really varies from person to person, and from prediction to prediction.
