Brownies

Today is my friend Felecia's birthday. She wanted me to make her some brownies cos she thinks mine are fabulous. I thought I'd go ahead and share this recipe with y'all since it is quite yummy :)

Brownies (Chocolate or White):

10oz Chocolate, small chunks. (I use chocolate or white chocolate chips)
1c Butter (Two sticks)
1 1/4c Sugar
2c Flour
1/2tsp Salt
1tsb Vanilla extract

Optionals:

1 to 3tsb White Chocolate or Chocolate Liqueur
Additional white chocolate or chocolate chips
Nuts or Coconut

First, preheat the oven to 325. Weigh out your chocolate to 10oz and put it in a large mixing bowl. On the stove, melt your butter and liqueur until they begin to bubble, wisking occasionally. Add the vanilla into the pot, stir and then pour the hot mixture over the chocolate. Wisk until smooth. Add the sugar and mix it in entirely, then add the eggs. The mixture will thicken quite a bit with the addition of the eggs, so don't panic! Finally, add the salt and the flour. Continue to wisk until the flour is fully incorporated. Then, with a spatula, fold in extra chocolate or white chocolate chips into the cool batter. Butter a 11x9 pan and pour the mixture in. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the top begins to crisp slightly but the center is still soft. Best served warm.
