(no subject)
• I’m so tired right now. I’ve really messed up my sleeping patterns this weekend. I would sleep in 2 -3 hour spurts and then be up and going the rest of the time. But hey it’s Derby week, so no one would even notice if I just slept in my cube ala office space!
• I do have a confession to make. For a while I’ve ragged on the group Muse. My friend Andrea is a big fan so I said I’d go with her when they came to town. I really don’t know why I said that, but I did. So, the show was Saturday night and from the very first song, I was totally blown away by this band. Hands down one of the top ten best bands I’ve ever seen live. These guys were amazing. So much heavier and rocking than on their CD(s). Apparently they are huge in Europe (but so is David Hasselhoff) and play huge stadiums there. Here they play the basement at Jillian’s. You would think these guys were playing one of those huge stadium to tens of thousands of people with all the energy and showmanship they put into this performance. I was totally wrong before, these guys rock.
• In other concert news, I’m going to see the Black Crows tonight! And it’s at a really small venue (headliners)! They are booked "incognito" under the name Mr. Crowes Garden. I guess they are warming up for their “reunion” tour this summer. Anyway, at a venue that holds maybe 300 people, this should be a great show. Though I’m sure I’ll have one heck of a contact buzz from this stoner show ;-)
