UFC 101: how “small” errors can lead to a certain demise... and how you've got to have your GAME

1. Cramer vs. Riddle
Cramer constantly opening guard, constantly losing control of one of the other (usually, left) Riddle’s arms, letting Riddle CONTROL him, not using so many moments when Riddle loses balance (not even in the third round, when Riddle drops - just walking into his guard like a child), letting Riddle arm-bar him so easily, not mounting Riddle after the armbar escape. And Riddle is making so many mistakes - lack of balance, not driving to a strategic finishing move, loses energy on minor skirmishes... Still, a great fight, two great fighters - just not the champion material, either:
- lack of strategy (not clear on how to “close the deal”)
- not at all diligent - rather careless
- very small set of “tricks” for UFC 101 - it could have passed back in the 90s though...
- not economical
- not “in control” (especially Cramer)

2. Silva vs Griffin
Ok, Silva may be not too good as a wrestler, but what a striker! He brings us the memories of the best Ali fights - except that he is a lot nobler than Ali was to his competitor, what a gentleman too.
Only one lesson from Silva: KEEP TO YOUR GAME! - whatever is thrown against you is important - pay attention, avoid, divert, but stick to your own guns - and make it your fight, on your conditions. And the finishing move - barely a strike.
