It's been a bit over a month that I actually wrote something on this. Might as well get started on the updates.
#1. My family is moving to Miami over winter break so that's going to be my new home. For the people outside of the US who read this (namely Brazil (or Brasil for Kico's sake)), I will still be coming to back once a year (sometime in the May-August vacation) because it would be very hard to make it back while having to go visit my parents in Miami. If you guys want to visit, there will always be a place open at college or at my new house. Otherwise I'll probably be travelling around the US over the short breaks over the year (Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Spring Break and extended weekends) since that would make more sense.
#2. I am trying to add another language to my vocabulary. This will be the 5th language that I'm trying to learn. Only problem is that it is another romantic language, bringing my secondary romantic language count to 3. So if I try to say something in Spanish, pull some Italian out of thin air and end with a French word, you know what's happening.
#3. I think I am going to be a Physics and Math double major. As much as I love Chemistry, I know that I won't be able to cope with the double dose of labs from double majoring in Chem and Physics. Hopefully this will turn out alright but I still have time to change it if needs be.
#4. I have not read Harry Potter 6 yet but I am farely sure that I have been told all the points I need to know about it. I'm on chapter 5 but I'll try to read some more soon. I've also had to read Death of a Salesman, Catcher in the Rye, random essays, and attempted to read Mille et une Nuit on the plane here. That reminds me. The trip here was hectic. Not only did it add up to 40+ hours of travel, but some fun things happened as well. Met Mario at the airport and we took the same plane to SP. Then stayed at a hotel with Mary where we had a "traditional" São Paulo snack which consisted of toasted bread with a slice of cheese and 7 slices of ham. But we had fun anyway. Then we got to the airport, got on the plane and slept most of the time on that ride. Also met this really nice lady/teacher with whom I talked to for a long time. Twas fun.
#5. I am dating again
#6. I miss my guitar and I really should start getting rid of some of the stuff I have in my room so I don't have to ask people to keep my stuff for me. I mean it's nice of them and all but I just feel that it can be a bit of an inconvenience. At least with my family moving to the US I can drop stuff off there instead of having to take a 24+ hours trip back to Brazil with things I will not be needing.
#7. I now own a US PS2 meaning that I can finally buy games. Only catch is I don't think I'll be playing many of the games since I don't know what to buy anymore. I think I'll stick to the computer. Only reason I bought the PS2 was because of DDR. The club will eventually buy it from me, i.e. I'll use the clubs budget to reimburse myself... it's legal, so it's nothing too big to worry about. I'm really looking forward to the tournaments because that's when a ton of people show up and things get ugly. Ok, fine. I'm just looking for more people that play Maniac besides Joan and Adam and Chris since I don't know if anyone who did is still around. Joan said she'd bring someone over sometime and Emily (not from F&M) said she'd bring her bf over and she seems to have a lot of confidence for him. The latter will only happen next semester though because of the basketball season. Otherwise I should start organizing it soon.
#8. Today I'm going to make my first batch of microwave Brigadeiros. They are supposed to be cooked in a pan over a stove but I want to see if the microwave, which is more accessible, can be just as good.
I guess this is about it for now. Oh right.
#9. For massages please contact me at your convinience and I will be more than happy to do so. What can I say, I'm a massage giving person. Who can say no to that? Actually a lot of people I know. Oh well.
