And we could go everywhere, but we ain't been there for a while

College shopping is going unexpectedly well, in part because Dad has actually come through with helping to pay for dorm things and in part because I've found some great deal. My entire dorm set (not just bedding, but things like bath towels and laundry hampers and those mini whiteboards for the wall) was $50, because Bed Bath and Beyond has awesome deals and awesome coupons. And it's really pretty, though given the amazing deal I doubt I'll be the only one at Yale with it.

Also, I bought three pairs of shoes yesterday. In the last four years, I bought one pair of shoes, and only because my dad basically dragged me into it kicking and screaming. I have never enjoyed shoe shopping. Shoes are expensive and uncomfortable and I'm a freaking 8.5N with a high arch. You know how hard it is to find shoes for a narrow half-size with a high arch? And for that matter, I'm really not 8.5, but I don't quite fit into an 8, and I wear really thick socks. But now I have shoe store experience, so it was actually insanely easy to find good sneakers and a comfortable pair of party shoes (which were on a really nice sale.) For sandals, I love my mom's for running and hiking, so I just ended up buying a dark brown pair of the same. They were super super expensive and I really did not want such expensive shoes, but my mom just picked them up and bought them and said that if Dad didn't pay, then too bad. She's had the same pair of shoes for four years and they aren't even a bit worn down, so I can see her logic, but...meep.

I'm still busy to the point where my brain shatters the moment I wake up and think of what I have to do, so I can't really give you a full update on this entry. Just know that I am alive and I have awesome new sandals.

<3 you all.
