mornings are really cool when the fog is in and you have a cup of coffee on the bech watching it and the surfers out in it. the ocean is like god to us. we respect it does good for us. we get agro, it doesn't give us waves. you basically need to never be mad at the ocean; gotta be one with it.
yeah I went out on the pier and drank my coffee and watched this group of groms surfing and they were getting dumped. then it got flat for a minute and then it picked up again. it has been like this always. you paddle out, sit, wait, get one, paddle back out, sit, wait for the flat to pass, and then surf more sets. surfers life...that plus a good pizzeria, coffee, clothes, and a car.
leaving for nor cal tomorrow. that's cool because I really want to go home soon. I haven't seen my friends, my projects in climbing, my presents that are unopened, and just the whole nor cal attitude is what I really miss most of all. it's what I've grown up around and this so cal attitude and vibe is good for a vacation, but I don't think I could live here.
