Its that time of week again so time to put up some good tunes. This week im going to put up my FAVORITE songs ever. Hope you like them and in joy or enjoy or en joy.
I can't start a post of my favorite Songs without starting with my favorite band! Sonic Youth! I've been a fan of theres for as long as i can remember. I got my first taste of their music when i was just about 6 and i've loved them ever since.
If you haven't seen them live then WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! Unmade bed is a great song. I swear it was written about me.
People need to leave courtney alone. I really just love the woman. Her music is great and thats all there is to it. Stop attacking the woman! Shut your mouths and open your ears! Take a good listen to the queen of Rock and Roll.
Ha american sweetheart was a HUGE flop but its not like anyone expected much more than that. I still bought the album and i actually really like it. Mono is a great song i don't care what anyone says.
As long as im on the subject of Courtney love why not put up some HOLE? They are a favorite band of mine after all.
I love doll parts so im putting it up. and hell at least its not Celebrity skin.
Some Nirvana too. Since Nirvana is in my oppion one of the most Influentual bands from the ninties if not the most.even though they are far from being the greatest band like alot of nirvana fans claim. Don't get me wrong if it wasn't for Sonic Youth Nirvana would be my favorite band but still they were rough around the edges and were far from being the greatest band. I actually got to see them live when i was still just a kid. Thank you Kevin (from next door)for sneaking me in.
Heart shaped box is one of the few songs from Nevermind that i actually like(Up untill Evanessence or however you spell that crap bands name) covered it I hated nearly that entire album but This is really a great song. And don't get me started on smells like teen spirit. I hate that song soo much.
Now im not only into alternative Indy music so I'll throw up some hip hop. The Fugees are my absolute favorite when it comes to the genre and no one even touches them! I don't care what you think they are the best and thats all there is to it.
This song brings back so many memories. it's just about my favorite song of all time.
Mya thanks chris for sticking this song back in my head. It will be ther all day. No one really hears from mya these days but she was and is still great.
Ha ghetto superstar is an awesome song and everyone knows it. i know you love it. don't lie.
M.I.A. is one of my favorite new hip hop artists. She has such unique sound and i love everysingle one of her songs.
Bucky done gun is just an outrageous song and i have no idea what its about but i love it.
Lets take a time machine back to the days when Dolly parton had huge boobs.... she still does? Damn. I still can't believe she had reduction surgery on them THEY ARE STILL HUGE. not as huge has her hair or as huge as her voice. It's obvious to most that I love the woman to death.
Jolene is just such classic song these days. it's covered by EVERYONE! Its a great song and i understand why everone loves it so much. I actually have a personal connection with this song. but i won't get into that. That bitch JOELLE better watch who she's messing with.
ha don't get me started on Cat power. I've had so many arguments about her its not even funny. But she's great and Extremely talented.
Lived in bars is a great song but i admit she does have better ones. but still one of my favoirites.
Ok so Nancy Sinatra is a legend! Sinatra and Hazelwood are my favorite duet of all time. She just has a way about her even to this day that makes her extremely sexy. There is no end to how much i love this woman.
Now i would love to have one of those famous duets with her and Lee hazelwood like some velvet morning for example but i couldn't find a video good enough to post. Bang Bang is a good song as a replacement though.The song is from the movie kill bill but it wasn't MADE for it like a lot of people think. the song is way older. Its a great song and hell i love it.
Kings of Leon are simply a great band and there's nothing more to say about it.
Arizona is my favorite song by them thanks to Kit for sending it to me so long ago. Its even better live.
Paulo Nutini is so adorable. He was here last year and i saw him perform in this tiny room with a tiny audiance and it was just us and him. We could ask him questions and we could hear his weird accent and we could hear his adorable laugh. I also went to see him in concert later that night. He smells real sweet and i know thats creepy of me to say.
I really like Last request Hope you all like it too.
NOW lets end this whole thing with some Metric. Metric is another one of my favorite bands that i love so much. Great band with great music.
When i think of Metric I think of Monster hospital which is a MONSTER of a song. and a great song to finish off this list of my favorites with.
