Update! (No.2...)
Ok, well I got the feedback from everyone...and I'll just tenatively decide this for us for now...
The Chinese Christmas thing is off. Many people would rather save a little more (and we bought gifts for everyone already). Makes sense: just wanted to get everyone's opinions.
As far as the Pot Luck thing, here's what I've sifted through so far:
Cat: Veggie thing (something sauteed/steamed. More on this later)
Danielle: Caramel Cake (but you can do the Mashed Potatoes for bonus points if you want...or a level=)
Laura: Potato Casserole. I don't know excatly what that means....but go for it.
Katie: Rolls/ Drinks. If you don't feel up to doing drinks as well lemme know. You mentioned both, so I wanna see what you'd prefer. Worst case scenario is that we pick up our own drinks...darn.
Megan: Optional add-ons (Chips/dip, drinks, etc.). Obviously optional in case she is unable to make it
Mark: Turkey. Yup.
So there we go on the party outline, pretty much. Danielle said basically after 1 is good (so she can take her time...). Also, Cat wants to know what vegetables people like/dislike. She would like to make something everyone can enjoy, so if there's a big NO GO veggie for you post a reply here!
Finally, to join the club with Megan, I had to shell out 90 dollars for a battery today. Whoo hoo. So, in essence: thanks for exing the Chinese Christmas thing.
