1. beck:
   beck is pretty swell. i was pretty into him in high school, and oddly i've been listening to him alot lately.
2. coldplay:
   this is a recent interest. i always swore to myself that i wouldn't conform to liking them, cuz i thought they were overated, overproduced, and just one of those bands that everyone says they like...and you have to actually wonder if people like them cuz they're good, or just because they're artsy and it makes you seem more interesting to say you like them. but what the hell, their new album is awesome, and i love their acoustic songs.
3. fauré's requiem:
   this is mos def from 11th grade, during my awesome choirgirl period. i love this piece of music and i've got to sing in it 3 times at Carnegie Hall. so beautiful and dark. it is my favorite requiem of all time, and it instills many emotions in me, even to this day. it also reminds me of john, which is sad but nostalgic in a way.
4. indie rock:
   haha. although i do enjoy many independant artists (ani, elliott smith, damien rice, etc.), im not an indie art snob. i listen to more stuff like that now than i ever did in high school. lol, i prolly put this interest here when i was like 16, trying to look well-rounded or something dumb like that.
5. lip service:
   this was through my short-lived, gother-stomper stage. i still have some lip service outfits though. they're sexy but expensive as all hell. now that im in real college, im broke as a trashcan. that's prolly why i dress like a bum now ;).
6. mozart:
   this is just a gay interest. who the fuck dosen't like mozart?!?! this is embarressing. moving on...
7. piano:
   i love listening to piano, and attempting to write my own songs in my free time.
8. sigur ros:
   got into them a couple years ago. i alot of people don't like them cuz it's just atmospheric crap, but it makes me feel good to listen to them. it's good watercolor music.
9. the jesus and marychain:
   i believe i discovered this band when i was 17, in becky's sliver van, during my short-lived stoner stage. "psycho candy" still gives me a good feeling every time i hear it. awesome band, but echo and the bunnymen's better. BETTER.
10. veruca salt:
    when i was 14-16 years of age i lived, breathed, and ate veruca salt. that's probably embarressing to admit but i loved them so much. every song i felt was written for me.
