Yesterday, I went through the texture communities&journals I keep an eye on and found loads of highly inspiring material to work with. So, six wallies were born instantly, and today I made two more to total the sum of eight. Receiving actual criticism is so a rare thing around here that everything of that sorts is welcomed with open arms! *lol* I know that myself too -I tend to fall in love with certain fonts and then use them forever... or at least till I find new ones to flail over^^;; also, because writing and drawing is sometimes very frustrating and slow, I often place the stories on my mind in the graphics I make. To conclude certain feelings etc I feel I need the text. Textless icons made by others are often breath-taking but my coloring is still a bit off, so I don't think I have what it takes to follow that path. But, the lack of patience becomes a problem... because I spend so hecka long time for colors and textures, I'm usually half dead when I reach the point of adding the text. Aaaaand then I stick to old and safe methods.
BUT. Be proud of me. With the a9 icon battle set I went a little adventurous :D text usage in them isn't as extraordinary as it should be but it's a start. I can't wait to get them posted~<3
