Ballet and popera guys

These were the very last sketches I finished in the year 2005. The first one is picture of Finland's National Ballet's "Cinderella" and the second one is a fast drawn collage of one of my biggest sources of inspiration, Josh Groban. I've tried to sketch him before but his face's so difficult (difficult, yes, but so challenging and that's what's appealing to me) I've failed every time. There's so much emotion and tenderness and love for life in his character, it's hard to capture. Well, I was listening to Closer almost a month ago and.. suddenly this huge inspiration just took over me, my every cell was filled with it. I just had to draw. Sometimes that just happens, I have to leave everything else and take my pencils and release the inner wannabe-artist. I draw this for three or four hours (it's just an A5) and that's not much (I can spend days and days with one sketch, if I really really wanna) but I'm quite happy with it. The profile is one of the best I've done and you could say eyes are my specialty cause I've been drawing them now for ages. The third figure isn't that good then, something's missing.

That ballet sketch then represents something totally different. I'm taking these drawing classes on Thursdays, two hours at a time and I think I spend the whole autumn semester for that. We have this exhibition every spring and I think that's the one I wanna exhibit this year. The picture is A3 and the scanner is smaller so you can't actually see the whole picture but I think you can get a pretty good image of it. :)

But I'll shut the fuck up now and you can freely say what you think of them. Constructive thoughts and critiques are honestly loved. I think this should be self-evident but I'm gonna say it anyway: no stealing or I will do something very very illegal, okay? *tries to look scary but the pink pyjama isn't probably helping*

Awh, I'm always bit nervy when I'm posting fan art cause I know that -when it comes for example to Josh- there's so many passionate fans out there who know exactly how beautiful people their fandoms are and I really wouldn't like to let them down. *whee*

I will do some cross-posting at some point. You've been warned.
