Vacation and Reunions

Wow, a week and a half later and vacation is comming to an end as I write from the second level of the mega bus.

Everything got off to a great start in Chicago, I am so lucky to have such great friends with such a tollerance for tequilla and am grateful for every moment that we get to spend together now days. Its amazing how no matter how little we talk, or how long its been since we've seen eachother were able to pick it all right back up as if we were never apart.

Kansas City is almost unrecgonizable to me now. The only familure thing about it was the uncomfortable feelings of why I never go back there to visit. It was pretty uneventful, but memorable. I had to sit next to a 600 pound ape who couldnt wear a seat belt on the flight there and I could not move my right arm during the flight, but with a bad body odor stench on my jacket i finally made it. The family hasn't changed a bit. It was great to spend time with my sister and grandma, and to see how the newly weds are fitting in up there. Top all that off with a frozen sailbury steak dinner, and you've got K.C. in a nutshell. It was good to go back there, but felt more like a family obligation.

Being in St.Louis made me miss it and everyone and everything that is there. While I really dont forsee myself ever moving back there, it is my home and I'll always return. It was great to catch up with old friends, it is just hard because I don't ever feel like I have enough time to spend with them. It was also nice to get some of Martha Stewarts home cooking and hospitality. I also got a jump start on my Christmas shopping. It was sad as we drove out of the city, my date with it wasn't over.

My new diet and workout regimine offically start tomorrow. Nick and I are going to spend all winter getting trim and buff, then we will book cruise tickets this summer to sail off next winter as a reward and escape from the Chicago cold. I am going to need it, as im sure I gained at least 10 pounds with all the shit i've eaten the past week.

All in all, I feel relaxed not rested but relaxed, but I am ready to get back to my life in Chicago.
