300 pages into Let the Right One In. i may never view vampire romance literature the same way again. good lord, how hard would
Eli kick Edward Cullen's ass. TOO HARD FOR WORDS.
BECAUSE IT IS SO CREEPY AND BAAAAAAW. not creepy in the zombies-eat-your-face-everybody-dies way, but just... Eli is sweet, and seemingly innocent, and yet she is so scary. mostly because of what happens to her mush-faced conspirator. the entire thing with Virginia in the park and Håkan in the hospital creeped the crap out of me.
the claws and the teeth? cool. and creepy. and what. the description of how her bones shift and how she can make webbing... BAW. and those flashbacks aren't exactly the most PG rated things i've ever read; they feel like a bizarre Utena episode or something. :| wtf. Elias.
iiii am probably not going to sleep until i finish the book, and watch the movie, and then go :OOO for a while.

edit #2: 360. LOL. LOL OMG. this. :| is a beautiful book. i haven't been this interested in a novel in a long while.
edit: #3:
yeah, wow. i'm really, really impressed. it wasn't only a well-written book, but it was engaging, which, uh. isn't always a prerequisite for novels, let's be honest.
it isn't the premise or the gore that makes it a disturbing read, it's the characters and their lives. ie: Eli. i think Eli took the cake. he? she?
yeah.
i can never give intelligent book reviews. i can only say that "absolutely chilling" is only the bare bones when reviewing this sucker. whaaat.
edit #4: UP TO 4 AM WATCHING THE MOVIE ADAPTATION. AHAHA I FAIL.
