(no subject)
first official floor meeting today. lol, floor meetings. and right after roomie and i got done chatting a bit in the kitchen. SHE'S PRETTY COOL, FOR A STRANGE ROOMMATE. i mean, i'm amused by her all consuming love for her toaster oven, which she demands i use.
anyway, Nick, my RA, turned out to be all my parents had expected: a drop out from the U of A because of all the partying. HAHAHAHA I KIND OF LOVE HIM JUST FOR THAT. he seems pretty cool. and i didn't expect him to be younger than i am, wtf. he just turned nineteen. am not used to being older than the people around me. XD he especially encourages everyone to friend him on Facebook, since, "As you know, Facebook friends come first, but hopefully you'll become real life friends too. :D"

and Tim, the resident life coordinator person... or Nick's supervisor or whatever... huge geeky BSG fan. HUGE.
other than that, turns out roomie is going to the U of A, which means she won't be going to the same school and won't be around all that often. works for me. i don't mind having the place to myself all that much. and i'm relieved to learn that U of A students can actually find some space at Grant Mac res. :O and hey, classes start on Wednesday, not Tuesday. i get a day to wander around the college and hunt for my classes before they officially start, which is a relief too. w00t.
