yeah, i relent, i’m going to give the Chronicles of Narnia books a try. ANIMETHON IS A GO STARTING FRIDAY, so during the annual tradition of hitting up West Ed after Animethon, i’ll swing by Chapters and pick them up. even though going Friday or Saturday is preferable to going on the last day, Sunday, there’s a chance Laura might have to work, and Sunday is her only definite day off. and so, since she only recently moved into a new place--I’M SURE SHE’S LURKING ON THIS LJ AS I TYPE THIS TOO--we’re thinking of a sleepover Saturday night. :x yes.
AND THEN BATMAN AT SILVER CITY LATER. that too. finally, i will be able to take part in the fandom huzzahs.
anyway, if you didn’t already know, i watched Prince Caspian in the theatres just because i thought it would suck and was going to make fun of it, BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE GOOD, so then i went a second time, and then i swore i’d see the third one on behalf of my love for Skandar Keynes‘s Edmund, but never again the first. because i hated the first movie. it was sort of like a love-hate relationship with the Narnia thing. but then for those of you who know what i was bawling about in one of the recent posts, um yeah. i got punted into the fandom. and i downloaded The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. and watched it. AND KIND OF LIKED IT, WHAT.
WHAT.
i love those kids and their cute pre-Narnia family life. :x don’t get me wrong, i still think some of the special effects were shit, and the costumes still make me laugh, and the unicorn makes me REALLY laugh, but… it wasn’t as bad as i recall. >_> oh, William Moseley, your angry Prince Caspian Peter grew on me so very much.
Skandar being a hyperactive ‘tard makes me love him too.
