Holiday!
Lol, I'm still drooling over my holiday, I had such an awsum time.
Went:
* 1 week- Paris
* 2 weeks- Holland (The Netherlands)
Paris is beautiful, wow. It was amazing there, the city had such a great vibe and the people there are so alive! I loved the culture and those sidewalk cafes rock (<-- Though they were a bit on the expensive side). It was a hectic schedule though, since my dad was travelling to each tourist attraction without any stops and by the end of the day, all you wanted to do was sleep.
Shared a hotel with Kerry and Emily, we had a huge window to one side and the shower was really tiny. climbed the Notredame Cathedral to the top (holy crap there's a lot of stairs!), went up the Eiffel Tower, got lost in the metro, got followed by a creepy gang, saw the Mona Lisa (woah, I've never seen tourists literally fight to see something but in the room where the Mona Lisa was they were practically pushing and pulling to get there), ate a crepe and baguette, got my face sketched and spoke some French (hardly though). It was a huge adventure!
Most of my family lives in Holland so it wasn't new going there. Reunion of the whole family. Haha, no one recognized me with my dark brown cut hair, they were all introducing themselves to me and I just stared at them blankly. (eg: "Hi, I'm Kees(sp?)." *shakes my hand* "Uh, I know you're Kees."
Went to the one of the Wadden Islands, Terscheling, got really sick on the second day, went back to Holland week later, went sailing, went to Amsterdam, checked out the sex museum there (haha! That museum is hilarious! Can you even do half those stuff?), went to coffee shops (I didn't go in them though), got chatted up by some strange Poruguese guy, visited Muiderslot, went to a Dutch beach and spoke Dutch (Thank God that I can at least speak that, even though it's a little on the rusty side.)
Anyhoo, all in all it was a great holiday. I was really happy to go home though. I missed the sunny weather, veld grass and open space of South Africa.
So, now I'm home. School starts in two days, Blergh. Haven't finished a few projects of mine. Have to do it soon. Cheers!
