Great mid-morning run on Saturday...after a pretty restful night of sleep, I was feeling amped to shoot for a slightly longer-distance record, so I set my sights on the 12-lap (5.457 mile) standard. Ran at a pretty strong pace from the start and only faltered a little during the last two laps. Managed to take over two minutes off of my best time, crossing the line at around a 41:30 10k pace. I definitely need to compete in some more races in the near future.
There's a 5k in Falls Church (Jaguar) this Saturday morning that looks like it might be fun (
