christmas...
hope you all had fun!
i did:
left nottingham at 7 am on saturday got home and went straight into town with helen and toby. got home and cooked some cookies, put some in a box and headed down to conrads birthday thing at hectors. drank plenty and caught up with people. in the end tiredness beat me and i had to go home.
christmas eve got a few more pressents in and tidied the house before my grandma arrived with dad and jan, then went down to the caroline of brunswick to see toby play some tunes, so just got pissed chatting to the shoreham people. was pretty good fun. me and helen staggered off home at the end of the night and cooked butter fried eggs and cheese on toast with beans at 3am christmas morning.
then SANTA came at about 6 in the morning. i was awake so i said hello to santa and went downstairs to help him prepare the turkey. went back to bed with a bottle of water. woke up a couple of hours later and went up the cemetary with dad, helen and grandma. then had dinner which was really good and everyone was on good form despite the hangovers. opened pressies then washed up (our dishwasher is broken!!!). at which point our neighbours popped round to invite us next door. where they plied us with lots and lots of booze (they were already smashed)
"you still love your mummy even though she drops you" - my neighbour nicola to her 1 1/2 yr old kid
then me and nicola (who could barely stand) walked my grandma (92 and frail) back home - which was very stressful! then couldnt get her to leave my grandma alone
"i love people like you, i love old people"
eventually headed back next door had some more drink, came home slept.
boxing day was pretty standard.
and yesterday i popped into town to get some headphones for my "new" ipod (my dads old one). walked around lots listening to techno, then met helen and toby and went to bombay aloo for vegetarian curry buffet. ended up going back to the boat with them to watch dvds which was nice, but we were all pretty tired from eating too much so all crashed pretty early.
