Since I live in New York, I was not going to let the opportunity to attend the Remember Me premiere pass me by. After all, how often does a movie I'm really excited about, and a movie that stars people I like, have a premiere in NY?
I went with my sister (Stephanie) and our friend (Erin). Both Stephanie and Erin are REALLY big Rob & Emilie fans. Me - I'm more of an Emilie fan. The three of us have been fans of hers since she was on Roswell,
and we even met her before when her movie Ball Don't Lie was at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival. Erin made an awesome poster for Emilie. It included images from all her past work such as Beastmaster, Roswell, Carrie, Santa's Slay, Lost, High Noon, Ball Don't Lie, The Perfect Game, Public Enemies, and Remember Me.

L-R: Steph, Erin, me
Stephanie and I woke up at 6 AM to catch a 6:40 AM bus into the city. We arrived at the theater around 7:30 AM. When we got there, two security guards asked us if we were going to the premiere. I got really scared that they were going to tell us to get lost, and I would've lied to them, but Steph answered truthfully and because of that, we got wristbands. I was #32, Steph was #33, and Erin (who came a bit after us) got wristband #34. It's insane that 31 people came before us. I mean, I found out later that some women got there at 5 AM to get a wristband. While we were standing around, more girls came, and it turns out 500 wristbands in total were going to be handed out.

The security guy told us to come back at 2 PM. They didn't want us waiting on the sidewalk, and I was so relieved that we wouldn't have to spend hours outside. The three of us went to a diner for breakfast and Rockefeller Center. Rob was on the Today Show earlier, so we wanted to check out the crowd. We didn't see a large crowd, but we did see other girls with wristbands.
Anyway, right before it was time to line up, we went to Starbucks, and there were more girls with wristbands. They came from Florida. One of them asked me, "Are you here for Rob?" I said, "No, I'm here for Emilie." The girl responded that I'm the only one who said that. Good, I like being unique.
So it's 2 PM and we go to line up, and I have to say that part was really disorganized. We had to show our wristbands to security before being put in the barricades, but people who were supposed to show up at 2:30 PM managed to sneak into the 2 PM group. We were packed in like sardines, and lots of people were complaining that those who got their wristbands after 8 AM were standing in the front of the people who arrived at 4:30 AM. Security heard the complaints, and they called the first 34 people to be put in a much better position. I have to say, I think my sister, Erin and I got lucky to be put right by the theater entrance. I think the only reason why #34 was even called is because a lot of people with #s in the 20s didn't come forward. I'm really happy that Erin was the last person called to be put in a better position.
There was about 25 people in total who got into our section. It was very roomy, which was great. Security warned us not to grab the stars as they passed us, so we knew we'd get very close. Only one person was in front of me, but we all became very chatty during the wait, and we all knew we'd take turns standing in the front.
While waiting, the media went around to film us. Erin, Steph & I did a short interview @ DNAInfo about our poster and how excited we are for Emilie and to see this film. The site didn't put up our interview yet, but you can see us. Only some people jumped the barricades into our section - which was far away from all the other sections. Two boys did it, and when security was alerted, their wristbands were ripped and they were kicked out of the area.
When it got closer to the event starting, these two teenage girls were put in our section - supposedly by security. They were part of press, but weren't registered press, so instead of being in the tent (located across the street), they were put with us. One of the girls was really annoying because she was screaming loudly. Security told us if we screamed, Rob would be ushered away. So we all told her (as nicely as possible) to shut her mouth. I got a little annoyed because the girl said, "Who is honestly here for anyone but Rob?" AND she asked if she could take my spot once I got to see Emilie. Um, no, I was here first AND I was going to ask Rob to sign my sister's How to Be DVD. The lack of maturity drove me insane. She said other things that I won't dwell on, but when Emilie did get to us, she was such a poser. She went on and on before the stars came about only caring for Rob, yet when Emilie came, she wanted a photo & autograph. You can hear her in the video I posted down below, but she also had to tell Emilie that I am a big fan. I can tell her that myself, thank you. Girl just wanted to hear herself talk.
Okay, I'm done with being annoyed with her....
So the first person to pass by us was Kristen Stewart. She didn't really want to steal the spotlight, so she took a few photos and then went inside.
Here's that video. My sister
frostbit_sky got a better/longer one than me, so I'm posting hers.

Chris Cooper then came along and so did Robert....or should I say the paparazzi that surround Rob. It was difficult to see him because of the crowd around him. He didn't get to stop & talk with us like security said, and that disappointed all the girls. You can even hear their disappointment in the below video. After Rob was rushed into the theater, everyone left. That allowed me to be one of the only people around when Emilie came to us. I was hoping Rob would get to the theater before her because I knew everyone would leave once he was inside. So woohoo for the stars aligning.

Before Emilie arrived, Lena Olin & Pierce Brosnan came. I was so excited to see Spy Mommy, and she's so pretty in person. Not that she's not pretty on screen, but she looks damn good. I said to her, "Hi Lena," and she smiled at me. My sister brought her Alias S2 dvd for Lena to sign, but she quickly went into the theater.

Between the time Rob entered the theater and Emilie entered, numbers were being called to go inside and see the movie. They called #s 1-25, and some of the girls who left in frustration after Rob went inside had those numbers. It's probably better for them to never know they could've got in if they stuck around. I was hoping #s 32, 33 & 34 would be called, but it's okay that they weren't. Seeing Emilie & having a short conversation with her was good enough.
I actually forget to mention that Erin had a friend named Isabella, who we met up with, but her wristband # had to meet at 2:30 PM, so we didn't spend the whole time with her. Isabella got really lucky because wherever she was standing, they handed out tickets to the premiere. I guess they needed seat fillers. After the premiere, Erin received a text from Isabella asking where we were - and she said she was seeing the movie. Oh well, I can wait till March 12th. The whole night was still amazing.
So then Emilie was the last to come. Since the paparazzi weren't as bad around her as they were with Rob, she walked right in front of us. As you can see below, she was the only one who stopped to speak a little with us and sign things.
As she passed, I held out my photo that I wanted signed, so she could see it. It got her attention and she stopped. Emilie seemed truly grateful when we told her that we've been fans since Roswell and are excited for Lost and Remember Me. She also loved the poster we put together for her. She is the sweetest.

(NOTE: I am truly sorry for dropping the camera and filming her knees. I did not mean to do that, but I had four things in my hands and had to open the pen for her. It took me a few seconds to realize my camera was still on. I really have to get better at taking video. I also tried to zoom out, but my camera wasn't cooperating. So the video is shaky, but it was better than taking still photographs and ending up getting nothing)
My main goal for the night was to see Emilie, have her sign the photo I took with her back in 2008, and have her see the poster Erin made, so she could know her fans (and not just Rob's) came out to see her. All of that was accomplished.
